Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

this is fabulous. Nice smooth bread, very yummy. Its like a pumpkin pie in a bread. I used some pecans for one loaf and it was awesome. Lets say, it didn't last long. I did substitute one cup of whole wheat flour in place of one cup of the all purpose flour. I think Ill try all whole wheat next time I make this.

German Brotchen Rolls

I changed this up a bit but these are absolutely excellent. The are hard on the outside and chewy on the inside. They are good with wet and dry fillings and last a long time. I substitute butter for the shortening and used white wheat flour. They turn out well every time make them. I did try to use coconut oil and it worked well but make sure to use the organic kind since it has very little coconut flavor.

Mom's Pie Crust

this worked out excellent I made pasties and originally used shortening which was a disaster. Using butter worked fabulous. I put the butter in the freezer for about 20 minutes before putting in with flour. These were great, firm and tasty.

Pizza Dough II

This recipe is very similar to my Italian grandmothers recipe. I add a little more sugar but this turned out excellently I was very good. I now use it always now.

Easy Homemade Pie Crust

Finally after more than thirty years, I can make a flaky pie crust. This is so simple I, at first, didn't believe it would turn out. I have made shortening crusts before that turned out awful. This I have now made four times and it works every time. I made pasties yesterday that were awesome. No changes to this recipe. Don't fool with a sure thing.

Creamy Slow Cooker Potato Soup

This is the best potato soup ever. I added more potatoes and extra onion but the overall look and taste of this soup is wonderful. I served it with fresh biscuits. A hearty meal

Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

once again Chef John does it again. These turned out great. They were flaky and chewy, not tuff at all. I listened to another reviewer and used my processor for the cutting of the butter and flour mixture. They turned out great without much work. nice

Golden Pecan Pie

A very good pie. Maybe even the best pecan pie I have eaten (And I have eaten a lot). I looked like a gourmet chef bringing this pie in. I have never make a pecan pie before and didnt know it was SO EASY.

Tiny Pecan Tarts

I agree to others about the amount of filling. half the recipe and it is just enough. I had a big problem with taking some of the tarts out of the pan because I overfilled them. MAKE SURE you do not put filling over the dough. It sticks to the pan and you cant get it out. When I fixed this these turned out excellently and I was a rock star. No one knows about the eight I lost. :-)
