Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
This is great for an occasional meal. I halved the recipe and used a comination of ham and kiebelsa sausage. I still had leftovers for three people. It was excellent the second time around.

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Very good. Because many of my family do not like sweet potatoes, I chose to freeze them in cup cake pans/with liners. I can just stick one in the microwave in a custard cup or ramekin.

This is a wonderful recipe and I reduced the sugar to 2/3 cup.

Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2005
This recipe is excellent! I used 1/2 cup applesauce instead of the oil and baked it in 3 small loaf pans for about 40 minutes at 325.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
We used 40 pounds of chuck roast for my grandson's graduation party and it was great! We also used the Zesty Italian seasoning plus Italian Dressing (replace some of the water) to marinate the meat. We just doubled the recipe for the marinade. It worked great because the meat was cooked by morning and all we had to do the day of the party is pull the meat. I will be using it for a Croptoberfest event this fall too. It was all gone! We served an Italian Pasta Salad and fruit with it.

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
This chicken was really nice and crisp the first time you fry it before covering it. The next time I make it after frying, I would bake it in the oven while preparing the rest of the dinner for about 1/2 hour at 325-350 and it should be done.

Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2003
I served this chicken for a bridge potluck. I cooked it before I left and put it in a crockpot on low with the sauce over it. It kept very well and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I served it with a wild rice mixture in a separate container. I think I might try putting the rice under the chicken when I serve it at home in a casserole dish.
