About this Cook
I am a married mother of two grown girls. Our oldest is married with a 2 year-old son and our youngest, also married, has two 2 year-old boys with another boy on the way. Our motto, 'Embrace The Chaos' is tested everyday.
My favorite things to cook
Anything new! Of course, my sense of curiosity in the kitchen hasn't always worked out so well. Thank goodness my family has been so tolerant.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom was taught to cook by watching her mom cook and she carried that on.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking at home every night. The planning, shopping & cooking takes a lot to do but it's been worth every minute.
My cooking tragedies
Lasagna. Newly married & eager to try what I thought would be a more difficult dish than I had cooked to date, I followed this horribly long, complicated recipe. It probably took even longer because I wanted it to be perfect. It was done at Midnight. I was so upset I woke hubby up to eat it. What a trooper - he did. It actually turned out delicious!

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew
After reading reviews & cutting way back on the salt by using lower sodium items and chicken stock instead of bouillon, it was PERFECT! The consistency was creamy & delicious. Satisfied our huge family from 2 years old to 55 years old!!
