Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread
I've made this bread several times now and it has been perfect each time! This last time was actually the closest I've come to making it as the recipe is written - the only change I made was to use melted butter instead of oil. In other batches, I have substituted 1/3 cup whole wheat flour instead of the bread flour and that also turns out very nicely. This one is a keeper for sure!

Turkey Pot Pie I
This was a wonderful way to use the leftover dark meat from our Thanksgiving turkey! I only made a couple additions to this recipe. I added close to a cup of bias-cut sugar snap peas when sauteeing the veggies, and added only about the equivalent of one carrot because that is what I had. I also had leftover fat-free half & half, so I used that in place of the milk. After it was all combined, I added about 1/2 teaspoon of poultry seasoning and it was just about perfect. I did pre-bake the crust for about ten minutes, then let it cool before adding the slightly cooled filling and it turned out wonderfully.

Sweet Onion Burgers
One onion is WAY too much for one pound of ground beef. I tried to mix it all in but still had about 1/4 cup in the mixing bowl that just wouldn't incorporate into the meat. I'd suggest adding half of an onion instead. I also added a couple tablespoons of my favorite steak sauce and felt like the burgers were OK but not terrific. With some tweaking this could be a good base for a burger, but "as is" it is inadequate.
