The kids and I spent a majority of the day in the kitchen yesterday, baking up a storm! We made almost 100 Halloween cookies and had fun putting the yummy colored frosting and sprinkles on them! The cookies turned out great...and clean up was much easier
than I thought! The kids were great…

Look at all those cookies!!!!!!!
I am a hard-working Mother/Step-Mother of 3 children (5,6,7 yrs old). The kids keep me pretty busy, and I love having them around...when they're not driving me crazy :) We are a pretty active family. If we're not outside, it's crafts, games, etc. inside. I like to cook, however my hubby does the cooking during the week for the most part while I'm at work. He's secrectly got a little "Rachael Ray" in him :) I love family more than anything, and like to make them happy...especially with lots of homemade goodies! If you'd like to chat...about anything, doesn't have to be about food...my email is tmcclernon11@aol.com.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cakes, brownies, cookies..anything sweet. Icecream lasgna has got to be my favorite recipe to make...but that's not considered cooking!
I like chicken dinners, and pasta dinners mostly. They seem to be the quickest and easiest. My homemade mashed potatoes are to die for...as well as my homemade chicken pot pie!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my Grandma in her kitchen every Sunday for our entire family of about 20+...Dancing and singing, having a good 'ol time. I sure do miss it since I've moved from NY to TX. I enjoy baking in the kitchen with my girls, Jocelyn and Devae, it's always fun ...and Bryce, our 5 year old, even helps out sometimes too! :)
My cooking triumphs
Mastering my Gram's wonderful homemade mac and cheese! She makes the BEST mac and cheese EVER...and so do I now too!
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm...I've tried banana bread on several different occasions...never works out well for me for some reason! I also have HORRIBLE luck with kitchen utensils especially sharp ones...and have been known to cut myself on NUMEROUS occasions with a metal spatula! In my defense, most of the knives and utensils in my kitchen are CUTCO brand, which are VERY sharp utensils!!
