Not much cooking going had a funeral to attend on Saturday in Montgomery, AL for the dad of one of my wife's dear friend.  Drove to Montgomery and back and then went to the Gwinnett Braves ball game on Saturday night.  Not used to such a long day.  This  retirement stuff ruins you for long… MORE

Spent about an hour this afternoon making the first batch of Peach Jam using the Ball FreshTech Jam and Jelly maker. The results are great and I end up with four 1/2 pt jars of jam that I can in a water bath, and about 1/4 pt left over which I put in a jar and just place in the refrigerator… MORE

Went to the market and found some really nice peaches and it looks like they are just ripe enough to turn into jam. Just uploaded photos for one of my recipes and learned that they have to be approved before they show up.  Unfortunately I uploaded the same photo 4 times before I realized that.  Was able to go in and delete three of the four before they went anywhere. Well have been to Asheville, NC for a few days to spend time with the grand kids.  Two had birthdays over the weekend and they had a great time.
