Christian, wife and mother. I like to keep busy and in the mix. I work, participate in volunteer work, serve on the BOD for an animal rescue group and I breed and show American Rat Terriers. I love hunting with my family for all sorts of game and I love cooking the game.

My favorite things to cook
I relish creating new recipes from basic idea's and I notoriously throw something together and then regret I didn't write down what I did. One of my favorite things to cook would have to be soup. I love how the flavors blend and how you can create such an assortment of variety. Soups are also a very healthy fare. My husband jokingly calls me the Soup Nazi (from the character on Seinfield) haha

My cooking tragedies
Taking Home Economics as a Freshman I tried my newly learned skills in the kitchen one night. My mom gave me run of the kitchen. I lavishly prepared baked center-cut pork chops with a variety of vegis that I can't recall. With my Mom and Dad and my 5 siblings (all teenagers) sitting around the table I made a big show of putting dinner on the table. It looked PERFECT! I was very proud. Then everyone started coughing and spitting and gagging. Apparently my Paprika Spice rub turned out to be Cayenne Spice rub as I had mistakenly used the wrong red powder. All of the meat had to be trashed.. the dogs wouldn't even touch it!
