Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I make this all the time and it always is so good. It's a lot of food too, if you don't adjust the servings and freezes well. I love that really the only cooking I have to do is browning the meat, which I like to do the night before so I can toss everything in before I go to work the next morning. I believe another reviewer called this more of a chili and I do agree with that but it doesn't change that we have this at least once a month if not more.

Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
This was pretty amazing. Even my hubby enjoyed it. I did pound my chicken breast out for better baking, but everything about this from the wet ingrediants to the dry ingrediants was spot on. Went great with some pasta and veggies on the side.

Quick Tuna Casserole

Best go to recipe ever. Sometimes I top with just a sprinkling of bread crumbs, sometimes I don't. Either way, it's amazing.

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
This is the perfect sauce. I plan on it being my only spaghetti sauce recipe for a while. The next time I made it, though, I do plan on adding onion to it. Husband and I were practically licking our plates after eating this.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
This recipe is exactly as the title states. It usually take me longer to make the sides than it does this main dish.

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
I love when a recipe comes together the first time! A nice easy ingrediant list and easy directions made for a great Meatless Monday dinner. My husband even finished his plate! The only thing we added was some garlic that I sauteed with the spinach. One note, though, when dealing with frozen spinach, make sure to rinse and drain completely, otherwise you get a funky taste.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
This gets five stars because it's so freaking quick and so yummy. These also make great leftovers. I make this recipe probably once every two weeks. Also, I started using turkey meat so I toss in a minced garlic clove or two when I brown the meat to flavor it up a little and I also used stone ground mustard but that was only after I made it exactly like the recipe states.

I made this as is and loved it! Can't wait to make it again. Even the picky eater liked it.

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
SO juicy! These turned out so good and so flavorful. I even made these with ground turkey since I can't have beef and they were just delicious. Can't wait to make these again. **EDIT: Even though I cut this recipe in half because there is only two of us, I still use the whole envelope of dry soup mix and if I don't have soup mix, I use onion dip mix.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This is my go to meal when I have company coming. One of the first meals I made in the first month of being married when I was first learning to really "cook" and even for a novice this was easy. One of hubby's friends refers to this as "the best pot pie I've ever eaten."

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Always comes out great. I've made this countless times and never have any issues with it. Makes great leftovers and really hits the spot. I love how easy it is and that it can either be a side dish or a meal depending on what's going on.

2-Step Garlic Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
So easy and so good. The second time I made this, I cut up half of a small onion and sautéed it in the oil before I added my chops and garlic. I think when I make it again, I'll do the chops and onion at the same time, and then either add the garlic for a minute or two before I remove the chops or just add the garlic after the soup and milk. My garlic just kept getting done too fast.

Cheese Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
For my first time ever really melting cheese for a sauce, I found this recipe not only extremely easy, but DELICIOUS! I can't wait to make it again. I think I will cut back on the salt a little, though, as I like to use medium or sharp cheddar which already have kind of a salty bite to them.

Grandma's Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
This will probably be my go to recipe for mac and cheese from now on. Husband even went back for seconds. It is a little bland, though. Definitely make sure you use sharp cheddar. The only thing I did differently was use spiral pasta because I didn't have elbow.

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
These taste just like Red Lobster's biscuits and I was surprised that they are really easy to make. If I decided last minute to add them to a meal, it really doesn't take long to whip them up.

30-Minute Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Nice and easy. I usually leave out the spinach because my husband doesn't like it. I like the amount of pepper but if I was making this for anyone else, I'd probably use just a dash.

A-Maize-ing Corn Chowder

This was a really great simple recipe. Not sure I'd change anything about it. There's all kinds of things I'm sure you could add, but this tasted fine as written.

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I love making this soup. It's so filling and just gets better the longer it sits (FABULOUS LEFT OVERS). Went great with some herb rolls that I made. I do, however, leave out the rosemary. I like it, but I think it give this soup a funny taste.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
Sooooooooooooo good. Can't wait for leftovers. I also did the half ketchup, half bbq sauce because I love bbq sauce and it turned out so yummy. Only drawback is the onions didn't get as cooked as I would have liked them. I will definitely make this again. **EDIT: I forgot to mention that I haven't actually used this sauce on pork shoulder. Most of the time I throw it on rotisserie chicken meat I've pulled from the bone and I did use it once on pork ribs.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I normally don't change the recipe the first time I make something but I was in such a hurry I had to use what I had. Instead of breasts, I used breasts and thighs. I also don't keep white rice in the house, so I used instant brown rice. Since I used house brand soups that I've had experience with so I know they're bland I seasoned up the chicken with some seasoning salt and threw in some minced garlic. I didn't like one reviewer suggested and mixed the rice and soups together and also this cooked for 5 almost six hours on level 2 of my Westbend slow cooker and came out PERFECTLY. This was so so so good and I'll probably make it so many more times.
