2-Step Chicken 'n' Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
This was okay. It really was bland, though, so next time I think I'm going to have to add some seasoning. It was really quick, though, and the left overs were good too.

2-Step Garlic Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
So easy and so good. The second time I made this, I cut up half of a small onion and sautéed it in the oil before I added my chops and garlic. I think when I make it again, I'll do the chops and onion at the same time, and then either add the garlic for a minute or two before I remove the chops or just add the garlic after the soup and milk. My garlic just kept getting done too fast.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I normally don't change the recipe the first time I make something but I was in such a hurry I had to use what I had. Instead of breasts, I used breasts and thighs. I also don't keep white rice in the house, so I used instant brown rice. Since I used house brand soups that I've had experience with so I know they're bland I seasoned up the chicken with some seasoning salt and threw in some minced garlic. I didn't like one reviewer suggested and mixed the rice and soups together and also this cooked for 5 almost six hours on level 2 of my Westbend slow cooker and came out PERFECTLY. This was so so so good and I'll probably make it so many more times.

Aaahh! Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
The recipe as written is good but it's bland and kind of basic. I like to add celery and onion I've sautéed to soften them up a bit and some garlic. I've also started to used homemade chicken broth as I've found the store bought stuff is just sodium infused nastiness.

1-Dish Taco Bake

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
Everything tasted good except no matter what I tried, and I made this three times, the corn meal never quite baked enough. I've finally given up and will probably not make this again.

Grandma's Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
This will probably be my go to recipe for mac and cheese from now on. Husband even went back for seconds. It is a little bland, though. Definitely make sure you use sharp cheddar. The only thing I did differently was use spiral pasta because I didn't have elbow.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
Sooooooooooooo good. Can't wait for leftovers. I also did the half ketchup, half bbq sauce because I love bbq sauce and it turned out so yummy. Only drawback is the onions didn't get as cooked as I would have liked them. I will definitely make this again. **EDIT: I forgot to mention that I haven't actually used this sauce on pork shoulder. Most of the time I throw it on rotisserie chicken meat I've pulled from the bone and I did use it once on pork ribs.

Sour Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Such a quick easy recipe that even picky husband enjoyed. I only gave this four stars because I added minced garlic and a diced onion to the mix which I think made this recipe perfect. It came in handy because I had some white wine left over I didn't want to drink. I will be making this many times again.

Quick Tuna Casserole

Best go to recipe ever. Sometimes I top with just a sprinkling of bread crumbs, sometimes I don't. Either way, it's amazing.

Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
These had a wonderful flavor to them but as the recipe is written there's way way too much liquid. Ended up adding about a 1/2 cup of bread crumbs, which I was trying to avoid doing. May use cheddar cheese as the binder next time.

30-Minute Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Nice and easy. I usually leave out the spinach because my husband doesn't like it. I like the amount of pepper but if I was making this for anyone else, I'd probably use just a dash.

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
These taste just like Red Lobster's biscuits and I was surprised that they are really easy to make. If I decided last minute to add them to a meal, it really doesn't take long to whip them up.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This is my go to meal when I have company coming. One of the first meals I made in the first month of being married when I was first learning to really "cook" and even for a novice this was easy. One of hubby's friends refers to this as "the best pot pie I've ever eaten."

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Always comes out great. I've made this countless times and never have any issues with it. Makes great leftovers and really hits the spot. I love how easy it is and that it can either be a side dish or a meal depending on what's going on.

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I love making this soup. It's so filling and just gets better the longer it sits (FABULOUS LEFT OVERS). Went great with some herb rolls that I made. I do, however, leave out the rosemary. I like it, but I think it give this soup a funny taste.

Cheese Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
For my first time ever really melting cheese for a sauce, I found this recipe not only extremely easy, but DELICIOUS! I can't wait to make it again. I think I will cut back on the salt a little, though, as I like to use medium or sharp cheddar which already have kind of a salty bite to them.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
These are good burgers but I wouldn't call them delicious. Made these twice and I can't get them to taste like anything other than meatloaf. I have other turkey burger recipes so I don't think I'll be using this one again, except for maybe meatloaf.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
This gets five stars because it's so freaking quick and so yummy. These also make great leftovers. I make this recipe probably once every two weeks. Also, I started using turkey meat so I toss in a minced garlic clove or two when I brown the meat to flavor it up a little and I also used stone ground mustard but that was only after I made it exactly like the recipe states.

This was good but if i did it again, I'll probably leave out the spinach (and I love spinach!). Everything else was great, though.

I was really surprised by how much I like this. Does make a ton of soup, so half the batch went into the freezer for dinner next week.
