About this Cook
There is a plaque in my kitchen that says, "Good friends, good wine and anything with garlic." That sums me up.
My favorite things to cook
I love making breakfast. A leisurely, summer weekend, morning breakfast made for friends is one of my all time favorite meals to prepare. French toast, bacon, eggs and mimosas while we plan our day.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We use large meals as an excuse to get together. That's what has stuck with me. A reason to celebrate life, food and each others company.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I realized that sometimes recipes are just guidelines, and not concrete rules. That epiphany blew my mind!
My cooking tragedies
I'm not sure that I could even duplicate this feat. I made a gumbo that tasted like nothing. It smelled fantastic the whole time it was cooking, but there was no flavor. Spices didn't seem to have any effect on it.

Super Simple Salmon
This is by far the easiest and tastiest salmon recipe I've found. It's become a great standby using frozen salmon fillets and raiding the spice cabinet. Even my dad, who doesn't like salmon or garlic, loves this.
