Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
Great flavor and very easy. I added 2 more eggs and used leftover french baquette instead of white bread. Be sure to get up early because it takes a while to cook.

That Good Salad

I've been making this salad for many, many years and I have yet to find anyone who doesn't love it instantly. It is perfect for feeding a crowd.

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
Very simple, I would choose this over risotto, because of it's simplicity. I used chopped sweet onions instead of pearl onions. Next time I make it I will try a bit of cream to finish it for added richness.

Awesomely Easy Sesame Asparagus

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
Very good. I think you could get away with just 1 TBSP. of seeds, though. I opted to steam my asparagus. The black sesame seeds really made it a special dish.

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
I was surprised at the results of this chicken dish. I thought the chicken would be dry, due to baking without any liquid, but it turned out really juicy and tasty. This recipe is soooo very simple, there's no reason not to try it!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
A save-the-day recipe. My son has a 2 hr. football practice followed by a 1 hour karate practice, so the slow cooker has become a must in our home! However, I managed to trip a fuse in the kitchen (construction) and we lost power. When I reset the breaker, I forgot to check the slow cooker before we left for practice. Alas, we arrived home for dinner (starving) and it was not cooked. So I whipped out the pressure cooker dumped the contents of the slow cooker in, and had this meal done in 12 minutes! So, my 3 hungry guys think I'm a hero! Great flavor and easy to prep and an inspiration for me to use my pressure cooker more often :)

Grilled Peaches

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
This recipe missed the mark for us. My husband took one bite and refused to finish. We LOVE bleu cheese and are huge fans of balsamic, so I'm not sure why this left us disappointed. I finished my peach and the remaining went into the garbage. It was not enjoyable at all.

Great quick and easy sandwich. I spread the chili sauce on the pork chops while I broiled them.

Apple Almond Crunch Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
Really great salad! I do not like to make salads, so I was very happy when this turned out to be so tasty. All the components of the salad work perfectly with one another. A must try :)

Needs some work, perhaps more dressing, but I enjoyed the veggie combination.

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Great flavor and very easy to prepare. I usually avoid recipes that require stuffing chicken breasts, but this one is a breeze, just fold and cook.

Everybody loves Ruebens, this is a great meal. Keep an eye on the heat though, you don't want to burn your sandwich.

Chicken Katsu

Reviewed: May 9, 2007
I'm not a big fan of fried food, but this chicken is excellent. I used a bit more flour for coating and I forgot to season the chicken (oops!) and it still had a wonderful flavor. The panko bread crumbs are divine.

Wow! This is classic all the way! My son requests this dish every year for his birthday. I would recommend eating it more often, though.

Old-Fashioned Lemonade

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
We had a dinner party with friends and I served this along with the Bodacious Broccoli Salad, Dave's Low Country Boil, Tartar Sauce I, Summer Potato Salad from this site, my own homemade cocktail sauce, lots of melted butter, french bread and lots of beer. Then we proceeded to celebrate and immediately fall into a food coma, followed by a movie at the beach. Summer Perfection! Note that each of these recipes have lemon in them, which screams Summer and ties all the recipes together.
