Slow Cooker Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2013
This was outstanding. I used a 4 to 5 pound chicken so I added 4 tbs more of butter and about half tbs more of lemon pepper. I also seasoned it with basil and some slap ya mama cajun seasoning instead of seasoned salt. I used about half a large lemon. I squeezed a little on the chicken and cut the rest and put inside the cavity. I did add 2 garlic cloves (smashed) under the skin of the chicken. I also added a sprig of fresh Rosemary. Cooked on high for 3 hours and low for 2 hours.

Pumpkin Parfait

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
I doubled the recipe and let it cool in a trifle dish, then served it with an ice cream scooper in parfait cups with whipped cream, cinnamon and pumpkin spiced marshmallows on top :-) my boys loved it and me too! I bet adding some crumbs to the bottom would also be good, like pie crumbs or graham cracker ones

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
Great recipe. I spiced it up on each level with some Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning and also in the sauce. I used more Italian seasoning and I also seasoned the chicken breasts before cooking them with garlic powder and Slap Ya Mama. I also used more mushrooms and 2 cans of the soup instead of one...had 5 chicken breasts...def making this again!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
wow! what can I say? this was the best recipe I ever used for hamburger steaks. I have made it twice so far and the last time I served it with fries seasoned with oregano and parmesan cheese (greek way)...and put the brown gravy over the fries (cajun way)...so yummy.. a KEEPER!!!! I used more onions than suggested and i also used 2 pounds of ground sirloin so I doubled everything and still made about 7 to 8 of them

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
I didnt like this very much, I followed the directions almost exactly except maybe i had 5 chicken breasts..I added a little water, it seemed thick..not much. I added some slap Ya mama cajun seasoning, pepper and a little cayenne. it was very bland! :-( Next time I would double all the seasonings and double the salsa and maybe do some things others suggested

Baked Tilapia in Garlic and Olive Oil

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
I really liked this fish. I think maybe I would season it a little more next time. I am cajun and it was a tiny bit bland..I did add some Slap Ya mama cajun seasoning but i probably needed more of that and pepper and cayenne. I served it over parmesan cheese fries and added some parmesan over the fish at serving also. I would make this again! I did have to bake it about 10 minutes longer and I am guessing it is from the onions covering the top of the fish.

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
Absolutely LOVED this pie. have never really liked pumpkin pie or actually ate it..but this is my BF's fav kind of pie, so I tried this recipe and he said it was "orgasmic"..only thing I would do different next time is bake it a little longer, 10 minutes maybe or less..the middle was a little soft...but it was all eaten in 2 days!

Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
OK..I changed alot of things after reading the reviews and suggestions. This is what I did. I used boneless chicken breasts only (about 3 pounds) and 2 pounds of ground sirloin. I omitted the celery because we aren't a huge fan of cooked celery. I used 2 Russett Potatoes UNPEELED instead of sweet Potatoes and I did cube them (not too small). I didn't use any cabbage, I instead used baby spinach coarsely chopped (NOT a whole bag..about half a bag), I also added alot more chicken broth when everything was in the pot to start cooking together. I added water also and ONE cube of chicken bouillon. I just eyed how much water and broth I needed to make a soup. I used about 2.5 tablespoons of basil, oregano, and garlic tomato paste. When I made the meatballs. I seasoned the meat also with alot of Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning, garlic powder. I also used Italian bread crumbs, NOT plain. The soup as a whole was seasoned with fresh cracked pepper, SYM, and garlic powder..LOTS of it for flavor..also a pinch of Red pepper flakes. I added the spinach towards the end too. when the chicken was cooking with the onion..I seasoned that also. I used aged Parmesan and aged Romana. THIS soup was VERY Good. it made ALOT and i served it with cheese rolls.

This was Awesome. I did add some cajun seasoning (slap ya mama) to it. along with some garlic powder while cooking the meat and after it was all mixed up. I mixed 2 cups of the cheese in the dish and added about a half cup to the top. The boys loved it! EASY to make too. I used about 14 ounces of elbow macaroni. will make again.

Pork Tenderloin Diane

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This was so delicious. I changed a few things around. I seasoned them with SYM (slap ya mama cajun seasoning), fresh cracked pepper, and garlic powder. After they were cooked, I also sprinkled shredded (finely) hard Romano cheese on it. It was aged cheese..very good. When I made the sauce, I doubled the mustard and Worcestershire sauce but NOT The lemon juice. I also added some pepper and minced fresh garlic. I added the parsely (dried) to the sauce too. NOT on top of the meat after it was done. I also added some chicken broth to the sauce. IT was very yummy. I poured the sauce over the meat and again added some of the cheese I stated above. LOVE IT!

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
I followed what someone suggested to add some tomato paste to make more of a sauce and to add marinated artichoke hearts. I think the dish was good. it was NOT great..I probably would not make it again. The marinated artichoke hearts made it sour a little.
