Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
Great recipe to customize. I also added some diced pork with the chicken. I added 2 Tbs oyster sauce, 1 small can water chestnuts, 1 small can bamboo shoots and 1 can bean sprouts. Used Lo Mein noodles. Did not need to add the water. Will make again.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2015
Excellent! Better than the bottled. My hubby wanted Honey Mustard dressing for his salad. I checked my fridge and panty and found I was out so I did a search and found this. Had all of the ingredients. Oh My! I will not be buying the bottled anymore.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2015
Very tasty. I used leftover Italian Herb bread, had to use garlic powder because that was all I had. Great use for the leftover bread and quick and easy to throw together.

Super Seven Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2015
This is a fantastic salad! Loved the crunch the apples gave it. Great all around flavor combo. Next time I am going to use smoked gouda in place of the cheddar because we love that cheese with apples.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2015
This sauce was as good if not better than some I have had in restaurants. I didn't even remove the sausage from the casing..just cut it up into small discs and browned it.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 23, 2014
This is an awesome recipe! I didn't make them as kabobs..just used boneless, skinless chicken breasts. First time I was ever able to make juicy chicken breasts on the grill.

Salmon Rosemary Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
These were great. I used leftover Baked Dijon Salmon, omitted the horseradish, only because we don't really care for it. I only had green onions, so I used one of those and some parsley. Too cold to grill so sauteed them in a little butter. Yummy, hubby loved them too.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2014
Sauce was delish. Used 3 thighs and 3 legs with the same amount of sauce. Did take about 1 1/2 hours baking time till chicken was done, but well worth the extra time.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
Great starter. Just needed a little tweaking per other reviews. Add some sugar to the apples to help leach out the juice to make the batter not so thick. Added 1 tsp. cinnamon to the batter, and 1/2 cup white, 1/2 cup brown. Used the 1/2 cup butter but also added 1 cup of applesauce. Did not add strudel topping.

Heaven! Only thing I changed was to use 1 1/2 cups sugar instead of 2 cups. Doesn't even need a glaze. Super moist and delish. Thank you Barbara for sharing.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

This was awesome! I used a bit less soy sauce and subbed balsamic vinaigrette cause that's all I had. Used big asparagus. DH and I both said..this is a keeper. Yum!

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
Very good! First time I ever made it. Corned beef was very tender and delish. I did not use any beer, just water. Made the cabbage 2 ways since I was not sure about boiled cabbage. Added some to the crock pot during the last hour. Also made some stir fried with olive oil, butter, salt & pepper, and bacon, cooked until it was a yummy golden brown. Loved it much better than the cabbage added to the corned beef mixture. Just my opinion. Will be using the leftover corned beef for reubens which both me and my hubby love. Will make again.
