I am so excited. I have a new Roku unit in my kitchen thanks to my hubby's Beta testing electronics as a hobby. You should have seen my face when I realized that Allrecipes is on Roku. My 11yo daughter came home and saw Chef John cooking while I was puttering

I love, love, love to cook. I hate to do dishes. So I am in love with my crockpot. Only one thing to clean. I can read a recipe and decide if it is good or not.
My biggest pet peeve is that nobody teaches their kids to cook anymore. My nephews come over just to cook with me.
My favorite things to cook
I love figuring out how to cook on a little budget. My speciality is making dinner for under $10. But lately as prices of everything is going up, I have been making dinner under $15. I cannot wait to get a huge garden in this year. I will have to break down and learn to can. I have to can to afford to feed this crew and all their teenage friends that just show up at dinner time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking as a family. My kids have been cooking for as long as they can remember. I think my boy has been using a real knife since age 5. My girls make dinner on their own now. My 11yo made me breakfast in bed by herself. Quite impressive.
My cooking triumphs
Getting my husband to eat some vegetarian meals. Sticking to a food budget of $400 per month and still having food left in the freezer and pantry at the end of the month.
My cooking tragedies
Realizing that my 16 year old son has very high cholesterol. It could be his meds creating it. I have to find more things to feed everyone that is on his diet plan.
