Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Good Stuff! I just wish I had a hotter stovetop to brown the meat. I substituted the sugar with honey. At the end I added sliced almonds. This is a repeatable recipe. Now to master fluffy rice. Seems I have sticky rice down.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
Should be 5 stars! BUT they pictured mushrooms in the sauce, which is missing. I sautéed 8 oz. of mushrooms with 1 tsp of butter and 1 tsp of olive oil. Doubled the amount of sauce and added the sautéed mushroom. After the initial browning I added the sauce to the pan. Covered and placed in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. This is another keeper recipe for the books. Even my 4 yr old grandson liked it! Thank you Kelly Berenger!

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
Ok here is the low down! Read the most helpful as it will really make a difference. Secondly don't forget the dipping sauce whether it be evoo and balsamic vinegar or a meat sauce that is left over from the World's Best Lasagna recipe. Again read the most helpful reviews as the directions are aloft.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
Loved it! Nice and cheesy. After reading some of the less positive reviews I choose to use quality named products. Next time we will be adding a layer of fresh baby spinach.

Another one for my black book of recipes. I think next time I will add green onions for a more Asian flavor.

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2013
Skin lovers don't fear! I loosened the skin so the marinate could get trap between the meat and skin. Secondly the finish product didn't look as wet when finished. To over come this I sprayed a little olive oil on the chicken as it was finishing. I severed this wedges of oranges to squeeze on the chicken. My wife loved it! She added that it kicked it up a notch!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
OMG! This is GREAT Chili! From reading the reviews I decided to make a couple of changes. First I traded the tomato juice for bloody Mary mix, one bottle. Then since my wife is not a fan of green peppers. I trade that for two ingredients. Fire roasted chili peppers, 10oz. and 10 oz. of cooked green cactus, both drained. This will definitely be saved and cooked again. Thank you George!
