Bachelor's Creamy Pumpkin Soup

This was pretty good. Now, I wouldn't run out and buy the ingredients JUST to make this soup, but for a good soup on a cold night, this is perfect. I used chicken broth instead of water and used fresh garlic and ginger. This is simple and uses ingredients that I keep on hand so we'll be making this one again. Though I'm hoping that we'll be done with cold weather soon!!!

Boston Brown Bread III

Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

This was okay, but needs a little tweaking. After reading some of the other reviews I added a clove of garlic and sauteed some onions in with the celery and carrots. My youngest one likes it, so we'll probably make it again.

MMMMM... Brownies

I made these exactly as written. I was expecting an over-the-top brownie with the high ratings that this recipe has. The texture is great, but they are way too salty for us. I will not be making this recipe again.

Lime Cilantro Rice

This is really good. I cook the rice in chicken broth to add flavor. Sometimes, I will also toss in about a tsp of cumin.

Rebel Angels

We used much much less cayenne and white pepper. And medium shrimp since that's what I had in the freezer. It was soooo good!!!! We will definitely be making this again. Sooo very tasty.

Crescent Pizza Pockets

These were tasty, but I had a difficult time with the dough. I think maybe the crescent sheets would work better with this recipe. I attempted to fold diagonally, but just made a huge mess and ended up just folding them in half - much easier.

Chinese Eggplant Fries

These were okay. I wouldn't go out to buy another eggplant just to make them, but if I got another eggplant in my bountiful baskets, I would make them again. I added garlic powder and onion powder to the flour/cornmeal mix.

Grandma's Banana Bread

This was fabulous as is! Mine cooked longer than 60 minutes in a 9X13 - probably closer to 75 minutes. This will be my new go-to banana bread recipe. Next time, I'm going to try using 2 cups sugar and 1 cup brown sugar.

Yellow Clooney Cake

Like the other reviewers....not sure what to do with the sweetened condensed milk, so I didn't use it. Otherwise, it's a nice simple "recipe". I used the sweetened whipped cream from this site.

Avocado Pineapple Salad

This was delicious! I served it with a simple tilapia and squash soup. I couldn't keep my spoon out of the salad bowl while the fish was cooking. My sweetie asked for this to be put on the regular rotation.

Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken

This chicken is so easy I almost feel like I'm cheating when I say that I "cooked" dinner. I brushed the mixture on about every 3-5 minutes. The chicken was moist and tasty. Next time, I think I'll add some onion powder and garlic to the stock mixture.

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad
