Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Absolutely fantastic!!! A lot of reviewers seem to think that you should double the pasta or reduce the cheese sauce and I have to disagree completely. I doubled the entire recipe (except I left the mustard & pepper the same). After mixing together I dumped it all in my slow cooker and set it on "Keep Warm". It set up beautifully just doing that without the baking step - I did skip the breadcrumbs. I was serving this at a poker party, so doing it this way just worked out perfectly for me. I used mild cheddar instead of American out of preference. Everyone really raved about this; I'll make again and again!

Cayenne Pretzels

Wow, these are yummy!!! I used a 20 oz bag of mini twists for a poker party last night and there weren't any left. With 20 oz of pretzels I used 3/4 cup of oil and that seemed about perfect - also replaced the garlic salt with garlic powder. Everyone kept saying how addicting they are. Really tasty; I'll make again and again. Thanks!

Zesty Italian Crescent Casserole

My husband really liked this! I just made a few tweaks for our tastes: skipped the onion, browned the beef with a big clove of garlic and added oregano, parsley, onion powder after draining the beef. I also chopped up some mushrooms and added them to the meat/sauce mixture. Instead of sour cream I used fat free plain Greek yogurt, which worked very well. I did have a problem with some of the dough not cooking, but I know it was my own fault... I let some of the triangles overlap eachother in spots, so they couldn't cook all the way through. My bad. Jerre's Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili

Excellent!! I halved the recipe and used boneless sirloin pork chops instead of the tenderloin. The low and slow cooking method makes the meat fall-apart tender, so I didn't bother using an expensive cut of pork. I'm not sure why people said not to increase the amount of liquid because while I halved everything else, I kept the 1/2 cup of chicken broth. After 8 hours on low there was very little liquid, so instead of serving this as a stew I made up a batch of Lime Cilantro Rice (from this site) and served the stew over that. Fantastic combination!! Thank you so much; I'll make often! :)

Beef and Bean Crescent Burritos

Yummy. These turned out really well with a few adjustments to fit our tastes. I halved the recipe, sauteed the beef with a clove of garlic, and added about 1/2 cup of salsa along with the beans and taco seasoning. As others have pointed out, there is nothing to bring to a boil if you make the recipe as written. The salsa remedied this and kept the burritos nice and moist on the inside. I served them with salsa, cilantro, and plain Greek yogurt. Thanks Pillsbury!!

Cabbage Rolls II

Excellent. My husband loved these. The only changes I made were to add garlic/onion powders, omit the fresh onion, and I also doubled the sauce. I would probably at least triple the sauce next time because some of my rolls did get a little scorched on the sides. Thanks :)

Fish Tacos

Yum. I do think the cabbage mixture could easily be cut down because I had a quite a bit leftover. I seasoned the fish (I used tilapia) with cumin, garlic powder, sea salt, and fresh cracked black pepper along with the chili powder, so it was super flavorful. Only other change was to use olive oil. Super tasty; thank you! :)

Cheesy Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce

Awesome. I would use more apple next time because I couldn't taste it as much as I was hoping for. Only change I made was to blend the sauce as a final step to make it completely smooth, but I'm sure it'd be great slightly chunky too. Thanks!! :)

Garlic Carrots

Yum! Only change I made was to add some cubes of butternut squash that I had cooked up; I just threw them in after the carrots were tender and mixed it all up to coat the squash. Very good. Thanks :)

Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta

Good!! I kept wanting to add some Greek yogurt or sour cream or *something* creamy to the sauce, but decided to follow the recipe. If I make this again I think I will add something because the sauce, while very flavorful, just seemed like it was missing something. I think the tang from yogurt or sour cream would be perfect. Anywho, this was quite tasty as written. I served it over whole wheat spaghetti. Thanks :)

Very good! I don't like raw garlic so I used a little garlic powder in the avocado sauce instead. I added a little cilantro to the sauce too. Quite tasty. Thank you! :)

Zucchini Casserole II

Excellent! I'm not usually one to make vegetable casseroles, as I tend to like my veggies on their own, but this was soooo tasty. My husband absolutely FLIPPED for this; I think he had 3 helpings! I added some sliced mushrooms and just chopped up the carrots instead of grating them and cooked them with the zucchini. I'll make again. Thanks :)

Yum! I halved the recipe and made muffins instead of a loaf. I doubled the amount of lemon zest to make sure they had a nice pop of lemon flavor. They ended up super lemony and delicious. Really moist and flavorful. Thanks! :)

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Really good! I only used 3 cloves of garlic (and that was even kinda pushing it for our tastes), added water chestnuts, and splashed in a little sesame oil. Served over brown rice. Hubby loves beef, cabbage, rice, and anything involving soy sauce so he was a happy camper. :)

Guaco-Tacos

So good!!! I loved this and will make often. I only used fresh tomato, just out of preference. I think the one thing this recipe is missing is lime juice - I squeezed fresh lime juice into the salsa and the avocado mixture. The citrus really brightens the flavors and gives it the pop it needs. I used black beans instead of kidney since that's what I had on hand. Super delicious. Thanks :)

Delicious and beautiful salad. Love, love, love the bright flavors. Only (tiny) changes I made were to cut the olive oil way down and to use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic because we don't care for raw garlic. Super yummy. I will make again. Thanks :)

Andy's Spicy Green Chile Pork

Awesome. I cut the onion into large chunks so I could easily take them out after cooking as hubby wouldn't be thrilled if he found onions in his dinner. :D I seasoned the roast with garlic powder and black pepper but skipped the salt because the sodium content of the green salsa I had was outrageous anyway. Served in whole wheat tortillas with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado, and more cilantro. Yum. Thanks :)

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Fantastic!! This is one of those recipes that deserves more than 5 stars. The fish has quite a kick, but that corn salsa follows right after and cools it down. The salsa is KILLER. Only change I made was to add cumin and garlic powder to the fish. Make sure you serve it with lime wedges so everyone can squeeze more juice on their tacos. I'll make again. Thanks :)
