Excellent salad even having subbed celery seed for the celery, and onion powder for the chopped onion. I cut the sugar back to 1/2 cup and it was perfect for our tastes. My picky guests were very happy.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Good and very easy to put together at last minute. I think it is perfect when you want a not too sweet treat. I subbed seedless blackberry jam for the filling. Kept the jam to within 1/4 inch of the edge and had no problem with leakage.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

Very good, creamy and perfect at 70 minutes with the potatoes sliced thin. I added some diced ham in the middle of the layers along with some shredded cheese. Then topped with some sliced cheese which I love when it is all browned...yum

Homemade Chorizo

My guy liked this more than I did which is strange because I'm the hot and spicy pork lover of the family. I think it is pretty good but doesn't wow me. I did cut back on the pepper flakes just because I wanted to enjoy this and not suffer. lol

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Great cookie for the mix of ingredients. I like them but I don't love them. The texture and everything is good but it just isn't for me. I froze most of them to give to visitors. I like to microwave some cookies to present warm with a nice cup of coffee.

Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake

Great flavor and texture, baked up perfect with a bowl of water placed on the lower shelf. Thanks for the yummy recipe. Only wish it would have had a recipe to make the caramel sauce to go along with it. Instead I opened a container of dulce de leche and thinned it.

Smothered Chicken Breasts

Very very good! I reversed order on the prep., I fried the bacon, next then fried the onions, and finally the chicken, so the chicken is still hot. Using the same cast iron skillet I plied the bacon on then the onions and cheese and popped it into a hot oven to melt the cheese. Excellent, moist and so flavorful. I also did a quick one hour marinade of lemon juice, oil with my mix of herbs which of course includes garlic and some hot pepper grind and drained before frying.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Very good and easy to make. I made a little extra sauce which it needs, otherwise it is just enough to glaze them. One thing I found was my diced carrot did not get as tender as I would think correct so either smaller dice or a quick parboil for the diced carrots.

Ham Slice with Pineapple-Orange Sauce

Perfect! Hubby said it was the best ham he ever had, and I'm happy because it was so easy to make. I sprinkled some fresh currants over the pineapple and it really tasted great and looked very festive for Christmas.

Slow Cooker Carolina BBQ

Fantastic! I took a leap of faith trying this because nice pork is hard to find where I live but I was greatly rewarded for following the recipe and just upping the liquid smoke just a bit per other reviewers suggestions. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.
