Butter Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I doubted this as it was cooking- and worried when I stuck my finger in about half way through- but it turned out GREAT! My family loved it. I did brown the meat in red wine first, as someone had suggested. I seasoned the meat with a little more then salt and pepper- used a steak seasoning as well. I will make this again!

McCormick® Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
I made these last Christmas and these were Delicious. They were the first to disappear and the only ones the family asked if we could make another batch of once they were gone! Only reason I say 4 and not 5 stars is the prep time only says 20 minutes BUT the dough needs to be refridgerated for 4 hours or longer, When I furst made these it set me back in my cookie schedule because it wasnt included in the prep time breakdown.

Stuffed Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
This turned out well. I was desperate for a stuffing that did not call for celery or day old bread and this worked. Honestly, it did not LOOK as good as it tasted, but the 14 year old had seconds and my husband ate it right up as did the 4 year old. Will make again. I did listen to those who upon cooking it said to add spice. I used seasoned bread crumb mix and added garlic salt and fresh diced white onion to the stuffing. A touch of milk as well to the soup to make it easier to work with. Thanks for this one!

Strawberries and Cream

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This was AWESOME. The whole family enjoyed it. I followed everything exactly and it turned out great only wish I had is that it would stay fluffy. We had some left over (very little) and it was less fluffy the next morning- but still just as delicious. Will make this again... and again...and again! GREAT with pound cake.

A Twist on Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
Tried this today and it was just ok. It seemed like the pasta sucked up the dressing instantly. I tossed and tossed and it lacked flavor. We ended up adding Italian Dressing to give it more zest. I may give this another go though and double the dressing ingredients.

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This was ok.... needs meat. I like steak... so a nice thin cut or left over pot roast or something- ANYTHING would have made this much better. Next time I will add roast beef.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I LOVED this recipe. This is now my favorite CKN recipe. My 3 year old ate it up as well. I thought the lemon taste would be a tad to tart but she and I both ate it up. Next time I will make sure I make more then the 3 breasts I used when trying this recipe out. YUMMY!!! Thanks for sharing.

Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
Made this and it was just OK. I cheated first off and used left over home made sauce and when making the meat- I added oregano, garlic salt, pepper and ramano cheese. The over all taste was lacking - there was not enough ewwwy gooey goodness to the cheese that a lasagna dish should have... and the cheese combo as written lacked flavor. I ended up adding hot sauce to my portion, just to flavor it up. I may give this recipe a makeover and try again but, not a GREAT recipe on its own, as I had hoped.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
I did not follow the recipe after reading the reviews, I decided to use all the same ingredients but reduced the pumpkin by A LOT. Instead I used about 3 tables spoons of Pumpkin Puree. It was good and my 3 year old LOVED it. This is a good start to some fun and easy desserts and accompanyments for a party. I think I may use this idea and omitt the pumpkin and add pear baby food to create a fun fruit dip for the summer.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
This was ok. I was expecting more because of all the good reviews but like the one's who rated it lower, it was just too sweet for us. We like more zing- more of a vineagar. It was SUPER easy and we will make it again BUT try a smokey BBQ sauce and instead of the bneeth broth we will try beer as someone suggested. Maybe even add a splash of white vineager and see how it turns out.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I made this pretty much as is and it was YUMMYI was worried as I was makingit, didn't seem right until the ckn broth and sour cream- then it all came together. I made it with less cayenne so my daughter could have some but I think I need to give it more kick to give it more the the 3.5 star rating. I did add some lemon garlic rotsierre chicken I had in the fridge- I will absolutley make this one again!!!!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
This was GREAT- but I used garlic salt instead of just salt. Next time, I will bake them slightly longer and/or even broil them for the last few minutes as I like mine extra crispy!

Marshmallow Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
This was very good- everyone loved it BUT it was very, very sweet. I think when I make this again, I will use less brown sugar. The marshmellows gave it a GREAT topping- was fund and different and o so YUMMY. I wouldn't omitt them because it sets it a part from other dishes.
