I will be taking the next few days to gather all the recipes and suggestions that you have made and I will be planning my first stop for next weekend. Please stay tuned. Thank you to all of you that have participated in my quest.
MORE
I am a stay at home wife and mother. I enjoy cooking passed down family recipes as well as new dishes. I am constantly looking for something to spice it up and keep dinner from being boring. My daughter is now interested in learning to cook. (Now if I could just get her to do dishes!)
My favorite things to cook
I love making soups and breads! Stuffed cabbage and chili are two more of my favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making homemade kolachys, chocolate crinkles, and sugar cookies. I love my husbands glazed ham on holidays and making Christmas cookies!
My cooking triumphs
I make a pretty mean pot of Chili. Awesome stuffed cabbage and pretty darned good Lasagna, so I have been told.
My daughter likes to make Vegan brownies, cupcakes and cookies!
My cooking tragedies
Making macaroni and cheese and not cooking the noodles all the way. (Home Ec 7th grade)
Attempting to make a recipe with half the ingredients. Not realizing til after I started. That's what I get for skimming a recipe!
Not reading all the instructions to a recipe until afterwards.
I am pretty sure I have burned something, under cooked something, left out something, over spiced something and forgotten something.
