Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
My hunny couldn't seem to get enough of this. I made it excatly as stated above. We served over rice and right before adding the meat and sauce we added a bag of spring mixed veggies and made it like a true all in one stir fry. I used ectra hot chili sauce so the heat was nice for us but I would recommend cutting back on it a bit if you don't like spicy food or are serving kids

Country Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Made this Friday night for my daughter and hunny. The two of them had seconds and fought over leftovers the next day. I made excatly as the recipe stated but added a few extra pieces of cheese as they are both cheese freaks. I also used copper sharp american deli cheese instead of cheap cheese slice, just what I had on hand. I felt it took a lot longer than suggested so don't do it if you are rushing. Will make again. Possible changes would be a few more potatos and as always they want more cheese

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
I normally hate brussel sprouts but my hunny loves them. I made these to try and make us both happy and it knocked out of the park. They were amazing. The had a nice flavor and I actually had seconds. I only made half the recipe since it is just him and I and I used frozen brussel sprouts instead of fresh since it is what I had on hand. I did still boil the but not for the recommended six minutes it was more like four.

Was super simple to make and every elegant. My family loved it, even my dad who hates most pork dishes. Daughter had seconds and put the sauce on her potatoes even.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
Super simple dessert. Mixed it together and by the time dinner was over and cleaned up we had a nice dessert. I do think it might have benefited from a few minutes longer just to golden brown a bit more on the top.

Broiled Pizza Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
These were a nice quick weekday meal. We added garlic which is normal for us and we enjoy it in everything. I think the next time I will use petite diced tomatoes, won't change the taste but it might stay on the burger a little better. It didn't look pretty at all but it was serious comfort food. I made as stated above other than two of the slices of cheese where cheddar and the rest was American, not sure it did anything for taste but I just used what I had on hand

Blue Cheese, Spinach Meat Loaf Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
Let me start out by saying I am not a huge fan of meatloaf and my hunny isn't a big fan of blue cheese. Between the two of us we ate all but 2 of the 12 it made. No one flavor is over powering so it blends together really well. I made exactly as state above just adding a little black pepper. I will totally make these again, only thing I will do is add more spinach as 1/2 cup just didn't seem to be that much and I think it could stand up to a bit more spinach. We made the with roasted potatoes and greens off this site and it was an amazing dinner

Chicken Milanese

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
This recipe was simple and easy and we all loved it. I liked that it stretched two breasts to feed all three of us with some leftovers for lunches. I omitted the lemon at the end and served it with a parm noodle that had a nice sauce. I can see this making it into the line up as it was fast easy and very versatile. I made exactly as stated above.

Onion Soup Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2013
So easy to make. And the taste was good on the roast we made. Will have to give recipe to my grandmother who has to watch her salt, If she omits the salt this would be much better and cheaper than low sodium soup mix

Spicy Sausage Ragu

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
My hunny had thirds. He said this was one of the best things I ever made for him. I did double the cream, not a taste thing more I just didn't want it to go bad. Also the sauce I used was leftover from a sausage, peppers, and onion meal I had left. IT was amazing.

Chocolate Frosty

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
This makes a ton but is really yummy. I can actually get two or three batches of this from one mixture. Of course normally it is just my hunny and I. I think it tastes closer to a Friendly's Fribble but still amazing and hits the spot

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
A nice comfort food. The tastes all kind of meld together and form an amazing yummy dish. I would recommended add a bit of chicken stock if you put anyway for leftovers. When I went to reheat it was sort of like glue in the container and really dry when heated.

MAde exactly as stated but skipped the apple as my loving hunny ate it out of the fridge. This is my favorite recipe to date to use the starter.

Best King Ranch Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
This was amazing. We actually fought over the leftovers. I made exactly as stated above except I used some leftover thighs and legs that needed to be used. I also baked maybe ten minutes longer just because when I checked it wasn't yet bubbly and the cheese wasn't completely melted. I will be making again. The peppers in the tomatoes and also the can of them didn't add that much spice. It was just a mold heat.

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
We loved it. Tasted exactly like what you would expect for something called Bruschetta Chicken bake. Even my daughter who normally hates cooked tomato enjoyed it. This was made exactly as stated above. The only comment my hunny had was to cut the chicken up a bit more bite size which will effect the cook time but I will work on that.

Leftover Pizza Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
So I used a chicken cordon blue pizza as the leftover pizza, it was amazing. Used cheddar cheese as that is what I had in the house. It was a bit greasy so I think the next time I will cut back on the butter. I normally don't eat leftovers but this might make me rethink recreating them.
