Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
Super simple dessert. Mixed it together and by the time dinner was over and cleaned up we had a nice dessert. I do think it might have benefited from a few minutes longer just to golden brown a bit more on the top.

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
I made exactly as stated, except didn't use all the butter and they were really yummy. My hunny had seconds. Might try the baking method next time but with the reduced butter they weren't too greasy

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
I normally hate brussel sprouts but my hunny loves them. I made these to try and make us both happy and it knocked out of the park. They were amazing. The had a nice flavor and I actually had seconds. I only made half the recipe since it is just him and I and I used frozen brussel sprouts instead of fresh since it is what I had on hand. I did still boil the but not for the recommended six minutes it was more like four.

2-Step Garlic Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
The taste was a it boring. The sauce was thick and salty. I made exactly as stated. it was okay to eat for dinner but we all agreed to try something different next time

Reuben-Pierogie Casserole

Reviewed: May 17, 2013
We loved it as first and leftovers. Improvements for the next time. I would double if not triple the meat. As another recommended make sure the pierogies are in a single layer. I would also use the mini ones. They won't change the taste any but may make it a bit easier for kids to eat

Country Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Made this Friday night for my daughter and hunny. The two of them had seconds and fought over leftovers the next day. I made excatly as the recipe stated but added a few extra pieces of cheese as they are both cheese freaks. I also used copper sharp american deli cheese instead of cheap cheese slice, just what I had on hand. I felt it took a lot longer than suggested so don't do it if you are rushing. Will make again. Possible changes would be a few more potatos and as always they want more cheese

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
My hunny couldn't seem to get enough of this. I made it excatly as stated above. We served over rice and right before adding the meat and sauce we added a bag of spring mixed veggies and made it like a true all in one stir fry. I used ectra hot chili sauce so the heat was nice for us but I would recommend cutting back on it a bit if you don't like spicy food or are serving kids

Leftover Special Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2013
Had leftover ham and this was good. I think the people that found it dry added too many noodle, 4 cups isn't a whole bag of noodles. My hunny really enjoyed this but said the next time I should cook the veggies a bit before adding them as they were a bit crunchy still and he felt it was out of place. I made exactly as stated except added a bit more veggies as that is how it was bagged.

Cinco de Mayo Casserole

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
We had this for dinner last night and my hunny loved it. We served it as is with cornbread on the side. It had a little heat but not over the top. We really enjoyed it the first time and he enjoyed it as left overs today. I made exactly as state except I added 11 oz of mexican corn instead of 7oz. mostly just because my store didn't carry the smaller cans.

Onion Soup Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2013
So easy to make. And the taste was good on the roast we made. Will have to give recipe to my grandmother who has to watch her salt, If she omits the salt this would be much better and cheaper than low sodium soup mix

Make-Ahead Unstuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
This got 4 stars due to the fact on a busy night I could just pop it in the oven but really nothing special. I added some garlic to the sauce mixture as my family loves garlic. I also was a bit short on the cream cheese since my family didn't realize it was for a meal. I will make again but only because I can make it the night before

Red Velvet Cake with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
The cake was moist and tasted amazing. The only issue I had was the cake was really dense. I have never made red velvet cake before so maybe this is how it was suppose to be. I can't judge the icing as I used another one from this site.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
it came together smoothly and quickly. It got really soft quickly so, I had to refridgerate for like 20 minutes after making so it would stick to the side of the cake. The taste was amazing however on my red velvet cake. This was more then enough to ice a double layer 9 inch cake with a bit extra leftover

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VI

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
My fiance asked me to make his favorite kind of cookies for the holidays. I have never made oatmeal raisin cookies before and this recipe got me great reviews from him and he just finished the xmas batch and is begging me to make another. His only suggestion is to add more raisins as he loves them.

Amazing Pork Chops in Cream Sauce

These weren't bad but really weren't good either. It could have been the wine I used but it is the wine I use for any recipe. they just tasted like a pork chop, nothing better.

Mrs. Strong's Casserole

It wasn't bad but honestly it wasn't that good either. I mean it didn't have much of a taste and for all the things in it I would expect more.

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
These were amazing. I would say they are more like a muffin though then a cupcake and in being such we didn't use any frosting. It tasted like a spice cake. Will be making these again. The only thing that was odd I used spelenda instead of the sugar so it did cream well but it all came together with the egg and pumpkin.

Uglies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
These were really yummy. Made exactly as stated other then used less cheese as my dad isn't a big fans. They lived up to the name of uglies but were truly tasty. Have give me a good jumping off point for other similar ideas
