Creamy Dreamy Chicken and Spirals Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
We loved it. I did use the measurements as stated above however I did heat the first few ingredients and then turn down the heat to add the cheese, mustard, and wine. It seem to be just enough to cook off the wine taste a few disliked. We also just added our veggie to it and baked it just to make it a one bowl meal. We will be adding to the menu more often. It is really rich and cheesy

Baked Ziti Supreme

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
I sort of used this as a jumping point. I added some leftover sausage with peppers and onions I added to the sauce. I also doubled the cheese. It is a good starting point and easy to make your own.

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
It is really dense but still amazing. Mine seemed to take a bit longer than 30 minutes. It was probably closer to 40 minutes and could have easily baked another ten or so more. It just seems to have a really soft fall apart texture otherwise. Will totally make again though as it was really yummy. Made exactly as stated

Quick and Easy Parmesan Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
Simply amazing. Will be adding this to the rotation. I used minced fresh garlic and just left them in the sauce and also melted the cheese in the sauce before adding it to the noodles as the cheese was coming out of the freezer and I didn't think just tossing it with the half and half and pasta would melt it as nicely. My daughter had thirds which is always a good deal. I did use the measurements as stated above though

Chicken Milanese

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
This recipe was simple and easy and we all loved it. I liked that it stretched two breasts to feed all three of us with some leftovers for lunches. I omitted the lemon at the end and served it with a parm noodle that had a nice sauce. I can see this making it into the line up as it was fast easy and very versatile. I made exactly as stated above.

"Spa"ctacular Frozen Grapes

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
We really enjoyed these. Nice to have a somewhat healthy snack. My daughter and I preferred the red grapes as they were sweeter and the skin didn't seem as thick. I think the next time I will make them with all red grapes.

Blue Cheese, Spinach Meat Loaf Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
Let me start out by saying I am not a huge fan of meatloaf and my hunny isn't a big fan of blue cheese. Between the two of us we ate all but 2 of the 12 it made. No one flavor is over powering so it blends together really well. I made exactly as state above just adding a little black pepper. I will totally make these again, only thing I will do is add more spinach as 1/2 cup just didn't seem to be that much and I think it could stand up to a bit more spinach. We made the with roasted potatoes and greens off this site and it was an amazing dinner

Dressed-Up Broccoli

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Made exactly as stated, I wasn't a huge fan of it but my hunny had seconds and was supper excited he had leftovers for today. I will make this again just because he was so happy and enjoyed it so much. I think next time I might add more garlic and a bit more butter as I found it sort of dull

Cauliflower Side Dish

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
This was an okay dish as written. It was sort of dry and not a lot of flavor. I might try again with more butter, less bread crumbs, and maybe garlic or something. It was edible but not very good.

Banana Upside-Down Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
I loved this cake. It was moist and the flavors all really came together. I did use a yellow cake mix just because I couldn't find a banana cake mix. I made it in a 9' x 13' pan as well as I don't have 8 inch round pans. Due to the difference in pan size I only had to bake it like 30 minutes. My advice when it smells done it probably is done.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
I give this three star cause I loved it but my hunny told me not to make it again. He said it seemed to him like the mustard over powers the fish and he likes to know what he is eating. I would suggest making it with a lot less mustard unless you really like mustard. I made exactly as stated above.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
This was just weird. I told my hunny I think we would like it better if we were a bit drunk. I think next time I will just use the leftover chili to make actual chili dogs. Made exactly as stated about except used homemade chili instead of cans, what was on hand. Other big downfall is we cook so there is leftovers for lunch the next day and I have yet to eat mine but hunny said they don't reheat very nicely.

Broiled Pizza Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
These were a nice quick weekday meal. We added garlic which is normal for us and we enjoy it in everything. I think the next time I will use petite diced tomatoes, won't change the taste but it might stay on the burger a little better. It didn't look pretty at all but it was serious comfort food. I made as stated above other than two of the slices of cheese where cheddar and the rest was American, not sure it did anything for taste but I just used what I had on hand

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
I followed others advice and skipped the bag step and just mixed it directly over the cookie sheet before baking. The potatoes where really yummy. I think the next time I might try flipping half way through the cooking time as one side was crispy well the other wasn't and the crispy side was much better. I also will add just a hint more salt after baking as my hunny felt it was still missing. I made as stated otherwise and used all the measurements above.

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
We really like the flavor. The downside was the waste. I mean I have a huge container of the dressing/ sauce that I froze and will use the next time. I think the best bet would be to make taters or a pasta to serve the sauce with. I made exactly as stated above

Seattle Dutch Babies

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
It was a nice tasty but a bit rubbery. I might make it again since my daughter and hunny liked it but I will try for a softer puffer taste. Also had to bake for an extra five or so minutes to get it cooked through. Maybe a higher temp will give me the results I am looking for

Leftover Pizza Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
So I used a chicken cordon blue pizza as the leftover pizza, it was amazing. Used cheddar cheese as that is what I had in the house. It was a bit greasy so I think the next time I will cut back on the butter. I normally don't eat leftovers but this might make me rethink recreating them.

Uber-Braten Kielbasa and Sauerkraut Casserole

Reviewed: May 28, 2013
Used just plan egg noodles as that is what I had on hand. I made just as stated but the sauce just didn't seem cheesy enough, I had to almost double it. I also added more than 2 cups of kraut just to use the whole can. I felt that was a bit much but my hunny had thirds and told me to add just as much next time. really warm comfy feeling well eating it. Now time for a nap

Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Reviewed: May 26, 2013
My family loved it but I found it a bit dry. I think the next time I will add all of the pineapple juice. After reading all the reviews I did add part of the pineapple juice. I did dry the pineapples before I put them in the brown sugar butter mixture. I also moved it to a 9 x 13 pan instead of a 10' skillet, just what I have. Now I have to go hide it so there is some left for my parents tomorrow

Baked Chicken with Salsa and Sour Cream

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
the chicken was moist but that is the only thing going for it. To begin with it needed at least another ten to fifteen minutes. The cheese didn't combine with it well. The salsa and sour cream didn't mix well and it just didn't work well. I made exactly as stated and I don't think I will even try to make it any better, just try another recipe
