My go-to garlic bread recipe! I have been making this for over seven years and would never change it. Everyone always asks for the recipe.

Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Where do I begin???? This cake is stupid-good! I'm gluten intolerant, but my husband is not. He insisted that I make him a birthday cake that I could eat and he loves chocolate. I was hesitant to try this - even after the other great reviews - but soooo glad I did. I made a couple of additions, but the only changes I made to the cake recipe was to use 1 1/2 teaspoons of the xanthan gum as other reviewers pointed out. I used the best cocoa - Callebut - I could find. Trust me on this one, the brand of cocoa you use makes a lot of difference. I added a raspberry sauce filling between the layers and iced it with a simple cocoa whipped cream and garnished with fresh raspberries. It was the best chocolate cake we have ever had. An FYI to those baking this for the first time, TRUST the recipe! The batter seems too thick, gummy and gloppy (for lack of a better word) when you mix it and add it to your baking pans (I used two 9" rounds) and is hard to spread around the pans, but it bakes up perfectly. Thank you Gluten Free Mommy, this recipe is a treasure!

Garlic Salmon

Soooo easy and delicious! I didn't have fresh dill, so I substituted with capers and it turned out very fresh-tasting and everyone raved about it. Thanks!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
Perfect bruschetta recipe! I did as other reviewers adviced and brushed the bread lightly with olive oil and cooked them for 5 minutes at 400 before adding the topping. I also added some grated asiago to the cheese topping - just because I LOVE asiago! The asiago gave it a really interesting and subtle bite. In addition I added some finely chopped sweet onion to the tomato mixture. The recipe is perfect as is, but I tried the additions on my second time making of it, and I think the changes amped up my personal taste yum factor.

Garlic Dill New Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
AWESOME!!!! This recipe was a big hit at a recent recent family get-to-gether. The only thing I changed was to use purple fingerlings, yellow fingerlings and baby red potatoes. The change in potaotes gave it a buttery flavor and texture and looked beautiful!!

Very, very good! Not as sweet as you think it would be. I have made this several times now, and it is a hit even with those who say they don't like pumpkin.

Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I was seriously skeptical of any gravy that could hold up for a couple of days and not turn into an icky paste, but this one was awesone and took such a load off of my mind. Gravy at Thanksgiving is always such a stressful, last minute hit or miss and this one takes the worry away and delivers the great taste. The only thing I changed was using turkey legs instead of wings because I think they impart a richer flavor. Thank so much for this recipe!! A definite keeper!

Great recipe. Just like my Grandmother used to make. My only changes were the addition of sliced olices on top. Delicious and truly southern!

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
Yum! I did a few substitutions. I used finely diced shallot in place of the onion powder, doubled the garlic, added a 1/2 cup of feta cheese and removed the mushroom stubs and chopped them finely and added them to the mixture. We topped this with finely grated asiago cheese. I'm sure they would have been perfect based on the recipe alone, but I adjusted for our own preferences. We doubled the recipe and served it as an entree and opened up the meal with an onion soup. Perfect meatless meal!

The only change I made was to follow the recommendation of others and use beer in place of the wine and extra virgin olive oil in place of butter. Yummy!

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
Super Yummy and my new go-to deviled egg recipe! Thank you! I loved the addition of the hot sauce. The only thing I did differently was to add a tsp of dijon mustard, and I used celery seed instead of celery since my husband hates celery.

Dave's Mocha Chicken

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
I've made this every week for the past three weeks. We all LOVE it! The only thing I do differently now is to add 1/2 a tablespoon of powdered cocoa and two minced garlic cloves to the marinade. After cooking as directed, we finish it off on an outdoor grill for three minutes per side. The grill adds a yummy smokiness to the already dark, rich flavor. Tnanks for the recipe!

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
i wish I could give this 4 1/2 stars. I didn't care for the spicing a whole lot, but the method for cooking was brilliant and made a yummy skin! I'll use my old spice and oiling methods, but will definitely use this method from here on for roasting. Thanks!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Fantastic flavor! We used boneless, skinless chicken breasts that I was too lazy to pound out and cooked them for 8 minutes per side and they were done all of the way through, yet still juicy. Great recipe. Thanks!
