I am a 1 year survivor of stage 3 lung cancer. I raise my own hens for eggs, and grow herbs and veggies. Married mother of 3 boys and grandmother of 5 boys and 2 girls. I have been married to my perfect mate since 1992. I learned to cook from my mother and mother-in-law and most enjoy learning the old ways of cooking and heritage stories that go with it.
My favorite things to cook
Cooking with fresh produce and meats produced by my family or purchased locally. Putting all that goodness together for holiday feasting with my family surrounding me is my absolute favorite thing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family cooking traditions are rooted in the Amish heritage of my mother's family and the Pennsylvania roots of my husband's family.

Homemade apple butters, sauces, relishes and salsas. Bread baking and cookie queen.
