About this Cook
I'm a good cook and I really don't need a recipe for most dishes. I love finding new recipes that might include something I hadn't thought of before.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a fan of soups, stews, one pot dishes and exciting new main dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't think of my family without thinking of picnics. Mom made the best picnic foods! I've taken on that tradition and my daughters have, too. We still love to picnic. My kids would probably say that they think of me grilling which is one thing I love to do. And of course there's also cheesecake! My daughters and I are always trying to make the very best cheesecake.
My cooking triumphs
What I would consider a cooking triumph has to involve my hot wing recipe or any recipe that I've made my own and has people begging for more!
My cooking tragedies
My biggest tragedy was a fancy ham dinner and I hadn't removed the paper that the ham was wrapped in. Wow. I was very young with two small babies and apparently ridiculously distracted!

Corned Beef and Cabbage II
Best tasting corned beef recipe I've ever made. So easy and yummy - I'll use it every time instead of boiling.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever
Great peanut butter taste in a wonderfully chewy cookie. I used natural peanut butter with flax seed added so I warmed it a little in the microwave before adding the other ingredients. Everything a pb cookie should be. Thanks!

Key Lime Pie IV
Quick, smooth, delicious! I used all fresh lime juice with a bit of zest and no food coloring and it was excellent. I used fat free sweetened condensed milk and am going to try to make this same basic pie with a lot less calories. As I made it, this pie has a whopping 1900 calories total. But it is absolutely delicious and a very authentic Key Lime Pie.
