Most Magcal Night of My Life
About this Cook
I am a newly wed. My husband and I dated 14 years ago but went our separate ways shortly after. We fell out of touch for about ten years. He decided one day three and a half years ago to look me up on facebook and here we are today! I have a twelve year old step daughter whom I absolutely adore and at the present moment my husband and I are in the begining stages of invitro to help expand our family.
My favorite things to cook
Well I am of Colombian decent, therefore I love to cool latin food. My favorite time of latin food would be Dominican. Their way of incorporating certain ways of cooking has helped me create my own style of cooking. Combining my traditional Colombian recipes with the Dominican way of cooking has helped me become an excellent cook among my famiy and friends but most importantly my new, wonderful husband.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother, mother and aunts would be cooking away in the kitchen together on the holidays. The beautiful smells that would linger all day is something that til this day I can actually smell when I reminise about it. So that tradition of seeing all the women in my family cooking together is something that I cannot wait to implement with my own children, God willing one day.
My cooking triumphs
I have to say my triumphs are when my rice comes out perfectly cooked! Up until today!!
My cooking tragedies
Obviously when my rice doesn't cook correctly, lol.
