About this Cook
I'm a much better baker than a cook, but thanks to Allrecipes and everyone's reviews, I'm getting to be a better cook!
My favorite things to cook
I'm obsessed with making things with yeast lately. lol But I'm also working on making meals which are usually available in a jar, can or box, by scratch. (pizza crust/sauce, tuna casserole, tacos, spaghetti, etc) If given a choice on my favorite things to make, it would be cheesecake or cookies!
My cooking triumphs
Can't go wrong with flavored cheesecakes!
My cooking tragedies
It usually has to do with making bread. LOL But I keep trying!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
I didn't have 8 hours, so I cooked a 3 lb shoulder roast in the oven, covered, with 2 cups Rootbeer, and cooked it at 350 for 4 hrs. The entire roast was INFUSED with rootbeer (adding a wonderful sweetness, almost candied flavor to it). I then decided to make my ROOTBEER BBQ SAUCE with it! It's soooo good and if you are looking to serve a new flavor of pulled pork sandwich, TRY IT! COMBINE ALL INTO SAUCEPOT & SIMMER FOR 20+ MINUTES.*I sometimes have to add cornstarch/water to thicken this, as it's originally for BBQ Ribs* •1 cup root beer •1 cup ketchup •1/2 cup orange juice •3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce •2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice •2 tablespoons brown sugar •1 tablespoon honey •1 clove garlic, minced •1/2 teaspoon lemon zest •1/2 teaspoon onion powder •1/2 teaspoon ground ginger •1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper •salt

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I
I use the store-bought angel hair cut coleslaw mix. I only use 1/2 the bag, use regular white vinegar, I grate onion & carrots into it & it's GREAT! I've been using this recipe for well over a year and everyone says it's EXACTLY like KFC's, some even say it's better! :)

Easy Tuna Casserole
After mixing the can of soup with the noodles & tuna, it was SO thick! So I took the advice of one of the reviews and added a couple big spoonfuls of sour cream to it, and also sprinkled some of the grated cheese into it. (Put the rest on top as directed) Also, I didn't put it back into the oven with the FF onions. Would have made them soft doing that! My family enjoyed this, but the amounts really only serve 4 people.
