Shrimp Scampi III

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2000
My hubby doesn't like very much garlic, but this recipe was perfect!! The shrimp taste was not taken over by the garlic, that's good news.. thanks for a great recipe.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2001
An absolutely wonderful dip, I even bought a festive dish to bake it in and serve.. it was fantastic and my guests all wanted the recipe. I served with warmed tortilla chips and slices of crusty sour dough bread.

Dinah's Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
Excellent recipe. I also halved the butter (as most reviews recommended) and it was still too rich for us. I will use only a fourth of the called for butter next time. Overall, the taste and texture was perfect. Thanks!!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2002
This recipe is absoluty the BEST pork chops and gravy I've ever had. I used 2 cans of soup and used half-and-half instead of the milk. My boyfriend thought it was the best meal I'd ever made!! Thank you sooo much Dawn!

Excellent ribs, I used boneless country style and they turned out so fork tender & delicious. Thanks for this great method.

Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This had the flavor of the quiche that I remember but next time I will saute the onions before putting them in. They were too crunchy and a little too overwhelming when put in raw. Otherwise, it's a perfect quiche recipe.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2002
I wish there were 2000 stars to give to this meatloaf!! It was fantastic and very easy. My boyfriend and I both think this is the best we've ever had, and he's 56 and I'm 45!! Thanks sooo much Starbuck for a wonderful recipe, I'll never make meatloaf any other way again. **** 12 years later, I still love this meatloaf. The only thing I do now is put the ketchup & brown sugar on top instead of the bottom. I like it better that way.

Inside-Out Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
There wasn't enough egg mixture to cover 4 breast halves. I had to add another egg and some cheese. Otherwise, this was a tasty recipe, I'll make it again.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2002
I thought these turned out horrible! The cheese seperated, the onions were not cooked enough. I won't be making this again. ***Update*** 3/3/13 - I gave this another try using my mandolin to make the slices very even. These turned out creamy, delicious but they do need more salt. Other than that, I'll make this again.

T Bird's Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2002
Pretty good, just not quite the flavor I was looking for. The cooking method worked very well though. Also, be sure to cut ALL the fat off the meat slices, as the fat doesn't cook right.

Onion Rice

I made this with the Chicken Eugene on this site and it was a good addition to the meal. Next time I will add a bit of salt though, otherwise, good stuff!!

Chicken Eugene

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2002
This was really good, with just one exception. I used only the 2.25 oz jar of dried beef and found that to even be too much. Next time (and there will be many more times) I will only use 1-2 slices of the dried beef under each breast. I did the complete baking time and as other reviewers said, this was fork tender. Definately a keeper! Thanks Marilyn.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2002
Excellent biscuits, but like other reviewers, I added the milk slowly and found I only needed about 3/4 cup or a little more. Otherwise, they were absolutely perfect, just the kind I remembered. And EASY too!! Thanks John!
