Crispy Panko Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2014
Excellent chicken. I had very thick chicken breasts so cut them into 3 thin layers. 2 breasts made 6 nice little chicken pieces. I followed this Mazola recipe to a T and they were perfect. Such a quick weeknight meal, I'll be making this again for sure. I had some leftover honey mustard sauce that went perfectly with our rice and chicken.

Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
Delicious, crunchy shrimp. I was craving just something like this and it hit the spot. I followed the directions but had about 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp so had to almost double everything. Excellent method for getting crunchy shrimp. We dipped in sweet & sour sauce. Perfect. Thank you for posting this recipe.

The Original Treats™

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2014
Absolutely perfect, old timey recipe. I use the microwave for only 2 minutes on high. Stir well with wooden spoon and then poor in the rice krispies. You have to really stir it with a lot of strength, but it's worth it! I butter my hands to press it into the pan. Works perfect.

French Bread with the Kitchen Aid

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
Oh my, let me just add my 5 stars for this awesomely written recipe. I made 2 baguettes and baked for about 25 minutes. Tested with instant read thermometer and it was closing in on 200 when I took the loaves out. My picture is here with the beautiful loaves. Baking Nana, thank you so much for a great french bread recipe.

Heavenly Hot Dog Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
I changed this to 3 servings since I had 1/2 lb of hamburger to use up. This was not what I expected. It was like taco meat up on a hotdog. I wanted more of a saucey chili sauce but this wasn't it. Sorry, we just didn't care for it. And, it made us burp after.. not a good thing.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

I really enjoyed this quick little cheesey sauce over some tortilla chips. I added some pickled jalepenos and it quenched by hankerin' for some yummy nachos. Thanks for this simple, yet tasty recipe.

Apple Crumb Pie

We loved this pie. It's very sweet but isn't that what pie is supposed to be? Anyway, I'll be making this again for sure!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
This was a great success but I didn't follow it to a T. I didn't have dijon so I used some spicy brown mustard. I, too, added about 1/4 - 1/3 cup of white wine and it made it just perfect. I think it needs some salt too, so I'd add that next time. I'll make it again with my tweaks and love it!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2014
Wow, dense and delicious! I cut the recipe in half and baked in a 7x11 glass dish. I did have to bake it about 10 extra minutes. Who'd of thunk about putting a hot cake in the freezer? It's a keeper.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Excellent macaroni salad. I love the sweet, tangy, crunchy texture. The only thing I didn't do is add the bell pepper, just personal tastes. I think I found the perfect macaroni salad. Thank you Connie for submitting this recipe!

Uncle Monkey Smoothie

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2014
Yummy recipe! I used the whole small container of light vanilla yogurt but otherwise followed the directions. The only problem, this definitely doesn't serve 4, more like 1 or 2. Enjoyed very much.

Trisha Yearwood's Chicken Pot Pie Ramekins

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
The most excellent Chicken Pot Pie I've ever tasted. I did leave out the peas (I don't like them) and doubled the corn. Absolutely fabulous and the texture was perfect. This will be my go-to recipe for easy-peasy Chicken Pot Pie!!

Chef John's Classic Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
I cut the recipe in half and used ribeye steaks. The meat didn't really get tender enough but the flavor was outstanding in the gravy. I did have to add a bit more beef stock to get a good amount to pour over our mashed potatoes. I'd make this again, perhaps using the baking soda on the meat trick to make it more tender.

Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2014
Very good, but a little too much butter. I used sesame seeds instead of the poppy seeds. I, too, like the idea of putting the sauce inside the bread and on top too. I used 2/3's of a loaf of french bread for the bread and they turned out very tasty, except for too much butter. I'd make this again for sure!

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2014
These were excellent! I had about 3 cups of blueberries to use and these were absolutely perfect. I like the idea of smashing some of the berries and leaving some whole. The crispy sugar top is exactly perfect. This will be my blueberry muffin recipe from now on!
