Creamy Chicken on Linguine

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
Very nice sauce with ingredients on hand. I cut the recipe in 1/2 and it made plenty for us with some left overs too. I followed the recipe exactly except using a Swanson Flavor Boost packet of chicken flavor. I used angel hair pasta (what I had) and it was a restaurant quality meal. And easy to boot!!

Orange Pineapple Marmalade

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
This was excellent! I used some tangerines that needed to be used up and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. I used 4 medium tangerines, zested them and then peeled and chopped in the food processor. I, too, cooked it on top of the stove just until it seem thick enough. It made 2 full pint jars with about 1/2 a pint left over. Great on wheat toast and english muffins. It's sweet, but that's what jam is supposed to be! I loved the flavor of the tangerine zest.. it was more than called for put it was perfect in this recipe.

Backwards Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
This worked perfect for my Rib Roast. Not a prime one but it was just very good. The seasoning on the outside was so good. I baked it a little too long so if there is a next time I will not bake it so long. Thank you Ken, perfect way to make a great roast!

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I made thse without the green onion dip packet and they were quite yummy. I'd like the cream cheese to be a bit firmer. I did bake them on 350 degrees for about 25 minutes, very large mushrooms and they came out pretty good.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Very good cookie. I did freeze it for a couple days and then let come almost to room temp. It was so soft that I had to put it back in the fridge. Then I froze a flat cookie sheet and then put the parchment paper on it and then rolled out the dough. Worked perfect!!! The very cold surface kept the dough cool so that the cutouts lifted easily onto my cookie sheets. Maybe that will help someone else!

Yummy Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This is the perfect cheeseball. I did add a bit of season salt and Beau Monde seasoning, otherwise followed the directions. I used walnuts (I prefer them) and it's perfect.

Traditional Christmas Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
The green olive is very prominent in this. A little bit goes a long way. The cheese mixture was very soft, I could not roll it so I just put it in a bowl and used a knife to put on the Ritz crackers.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
Very easy to work with although I needed about 2 extra tsp of milk to make it spreadable. So shiny and profesional looking. Thank you JBS BOX for this simple recipe.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Oh my goodness, these are so good! I chopped (by pulsing several times) up one 12oz bag of fresh cranberries in the food processor and then added about 1/4 cup of sugar and tossed with the cranberry pieces. I measured out a good 2 cups of the cranberries and had just a little left over. Made the rest as written, using walnuts (a little more than 1/2 cup). The glaze is spot-on to add just that bit of sweetness it needs. My very picky hubby said these were a winner! Now that's saying something!!!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
This was excellent with these changes. Easier too! It is a little difficult to get the cocoa whisked into the milk mixture but keep working at it and as it heats it gets very creamy. Perfect for a winter night.

White and Gold Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly and I loved it. I probably used a bit more mozzerella cheese but the cream cheese was still very tasty and the carmelized onions were wonderful. The addition of the garlic to the first bake made it so good. I'll be making this agian.

KFC Colonel Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
This was actully pretty good except there was some spice in there that my hubs and I didn't like. I think the thyme was the culprit so that if I make this again, I'd leave that out. I did soak my chicken tenders in buttermilk, dipped in the flour, then in the egg, then back in the flour. Made a nice coating. I'd probably reduce the baking powder to 1 T next time too as the crust was quite "airy" and I wanted it to be more substantial. All in all, my picky hubby said it was a keeper.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I'm rating the dressing and it was so good. I love that I control what is in it and that it makes just the right amount for about 6-8 dinner salads so just perfect for my hubby and me. Thank you for the great recipe Karen, I'll use it often.

Homemade Laundry Soap

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
This is excellent. Thank you so much for posting this "recipe". I make 3 batches at the same time and it will last us probably close to 9-12 months. I love how it smells and works to make the clothes so clean. I feel that my washer can rinse the clothes so much better than with really sudsy detergent. Again, thanks for the recipe! **** Update 9/19/12 - This is still the best recipe for laundry detergent out there. I've seen tons on Pinterest, etc., and I keep coming back to this one. For just the 2 of us I make a double batch and it lasts about 5-6 months. Well worth it!!

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
This is, by far, the best creamed spinach I've ever eaten. It's really easy if you use the frozen spinach but I've made it with the fresh and that's very good too!
