Silvia's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
Very good and very easy! All of the flavors blended well together, and they were just sweet enough. This is coming from someone who was raised on and still uses Manwich, lol...I would def make these again! Thanks for sharing. :)

Sloppy Jo-Chos

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
These were soooo awesomely delicious! I made my own cheese sauce and just for some extra color and goodness, I added a little shredded cheddar, and chopped red onion and tomatoes. The family RAVED over these, and asked for me to make them again, soon. This recipe is fun, yummy and a definite keeper! Thanks for sharing. :)

Pineapple Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
Very good! I used a bag of slaw mix (b/c I'm lazy, lol), and an 8oz. can of pineapple tidbits, that I cut in half, and both worked great. I also doubled the dressing. I think that I would use more green onions next time, as I really liked the flavor of them w/ the pineapple. A nice change from the usual...I will be making this again! Thanks for sharing. :)

Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Made this for Recipe Group...Me and the little guy thought this was really good, but hubby didn't care for it. It did take longer for mine to cook (about 60-70 minutes), but I also added cheese into it (parmesan, american and asiago), so maybe that's why. I used a box of frozen, chopped broccoli, that I thawed and that worked great. Also, I do not care for Thyme or a heavy oregano flavor, so I used garlic and onion powders and maybe 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning. This had good flavor, w/ the additions, and I would def. make this again! Thanks for sharing. :)

Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Delicious! I chopped my apples, but that was my only change. I think next time I may add some cinnamon to either the apples or the egg mixture, just to bring out all the flavors a little more. I will def be making this again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Serious Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Delicious and a wonderful change from the usual 'sweeter' varities of deviled eggs! These were not overly spicy, but had a nice zip to them. I topped 1/2 with crushed pepper flakes, cayenne and scallions and the other 1/2 w/ just paprika. Everyone really enjoyed these and I will be making them again! Thanks for sharing. :)

Kicked-Up Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
VERY GOOD! I read the reviews and decided to use one less egg. It still seemed a bit watery, so I added in about 2-3 TBSPS. of flour, and that brought everything together nicely. These had great flavor w/ the addition of the ham. A definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Rich Black and White Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
Delicious! I do have to say that these took a bit more time to make than I expected, mostly because the batter was thick and sticky and hard to spread into the pan (I ended up spraying my hands w/ cooking spray to get it in there evenly, and that worked fine). It's more like a half brownie, half cookie to me, but they are yummy, nonetheless. The family really enjoyed these, so I will def be making them again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Bold and Simple Snack Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
This was tasty! I like that it only used 1 box of cereal, so I don't have to buy 9 million items just to make a bowl of snack mix. The flavors are nice, and the kids love it...That's good enough for me! Thanks for sharing. :)

Chicken Salad with Bacon and Dates

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2013
DELCIOUS! This was so simple to throw together, but the flavors make it seem like it took a lot of work. LOVE the combo of flavors...the sweet/salty/smoky/crunchiness of the whole thing works incredibly well. This is a new favorite and a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Cheesy Chicken and Yellow Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
What can I say...another winning recipe from Goya(R)! This was so simple to make, and the end results were delicious. I did make a last minute decision to not add the cheese b/c I wanted a really authentic flavor, and the cheese didn't seem like it was needed, IMO..I will be making this again and often~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
SOOOO GOOD! I thought that I had a can of red enchilada sauce in the pantry, but when I went to get it, I discovered that it was green, and decided to go w/ it...the results were wonderful! After topping the enchiladas w/ cheese I added some chopped green onion for some extra color and flavor. The filling was delicious, and these were a huge hit at dinner tonight. I will def be making these agian~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Spicy Cilantro Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
This was delicious and made a perfect topping for 'Shrimp and Jalapeno Nachos' from this site. I scaled the recipe back to only make 5 servings, but followed the recipe as written otherwise. This had great flavor, and is a total keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Shrimp and Jalapeno Nachos

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
AWESOME! These were kind of a spur of the moment thing, so I had to do a few things differently...First, I only had a bag of salad shrimp, so I also added a package of imitation crab that I chopped up. I sauteed them both w/ the oil and seasonings just to warm them through. I didn't have restaurant style tortillas, so I used bite sized round ones. Lastly, I didn't have an avocado, so I made 'Spicy Cilantro Dressing' from this site to put on top, which was perfect for these! I can only imagine how good these are made as written, b/c they were great w/ all of my changes. The family really loved these...a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Cold Pasta Primavera Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
I really wanted to give this a better rating b/c I love the idea of it, but it just fell flat on taste, as in, it didn't have any flavor. I don't know what was missing, but it's definitely missing something (or maybe a few things), just to give it some taste. Also, the ingredients are listed wrong...It says 1 cup ranch dressing/seasoning mix, which didn't seem right to me, so after checking out the HVR website, I discovered that it was supposed to be 1 cup PREPARED ranch dressing/seasoning mix, which made more sense, so take note of that. I'm still rating this a 3 b/c I do like the idea and I plan to play around w/ it. Thanks for sharing. :)
