How to Make Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
These are one of the best and easiest biscuit recipes that I have ever made or eaten! Do keep an eye on them in the oven b/c after 9-1/2 minutes, my bottoms were just on the verge of burnt (my oven temp is spot on too), so I'm thinking maybe it had something to do with using foil? Other than that, these are fantastic! So flavorful, tender and moist. I WILL be making these often, but reducing the cooking time accordingly~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
Delicious! I have made something similar to this in the past, but never with DARK brown sugar...it really gave this a nice depth of flavor. This will look beautiful packaged in Christmas tins to give for small gifts. I will be making many more batches~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Carrabba's House Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2013
Great dressing! As written, it is a bit on the thicker side, but that's easy to remedy by just adding more buttermilk. This had a really nice flavor. Would also be great as a dip for chicken tenders/wings or even bread sticks. I will def be making this one again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Just Like Wendy's® Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2013
Delicious! Only change was to use 1/2 cup of water instead of a full cup b/c I wanted it to be thicker. Great flavor and super easy to make...A definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Leftover Turkey Nachos

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
Made this for Recipe Group...We loved this! The only complaint is that once it starts to cool, and that happens quickly, it gets super thick. Next time I plan to do this in my mini slow cooker, and that should do the trick. I will def be making this again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Best Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
FANTASTIC!!!! Not too sweet, just perfect in every way. I did use chopped pecans instead of whole b/c that's what I had on hand. Really great pie, and a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks, Belle, for sharing another great recipe. :)

Cranberry Chutney

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Made this for Recipe Group...I thought this was very good! I only had 1 bag of cranberries, which was about 3 cups, so I adjusted the recipe accordingly (still used 1 apple). This does have a spiciness to it, but I thought it was nice w/ the tart cranberries. It's funny that Linda mentioned in her review about adding the orange zest, b/c that's what I did, and it was a nice compliment to the other flavors. I also liked the thickness of this, but, as Linda also mentioned, mine cooked in less time than stated, so keep an eye on it. We are 'canned' cranberry sauce people, but I had fun making this and would do so again. Thanks for sharing. :)

Ultra Easy Pineapple Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
Very good! Made as written...the flavors all went together nicely. I wasn't sure about brushing the bbq sauce on before cooking them, but it worked great and made a nice glaze on the kabobs. Served w/ rice and salad. I would def make these again! Thanks for sharing. :)

Double Crust Stuffed Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2013
Delicious! The biggest hassle is trying to get the dough in the pan, but other than that this is easy to make. The sausage patty was a cool idea...The family really enjoyed this, so that makes it a keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Cheryl's Angel Hair Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2013
This is delicious, and addicting, lol! Made exactly as written, except I cut the Lawry's down to 2 Tbsps., b/c I was afraid it was gonna be too salty. When I first tasted the dressing, I was scared b/c it IS salty, but once it's mixed w/ the pasta, and sits in the fridge, it mellows out and is perfect. I was originally gonna 1/2 the recipe, but decided to just make the whole batch, and I'm glad I did b/c I keep sneaking samples of it, lol. I really love the 'different' taste of this salad...it a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanksgiving Leftovers Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2013
We LOVED this casserole! Super simple to throw together, and so delicious. I made extra gravy for the top, but it really didn't need it. I used chicken b/c that's what I had on hand and light mayo. I baked this in a round casserole dish, b/c a 13x9 seemed like it would be too big to get nice layering. This is a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Pretty Pomegranate Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
Beautiful and delicious! I didn't have a red onion, so I used sweet onion. Used 'Horseradish Vinaigrette' from this site for the dressing w/ a bit of honey added to compliment the sweet fruits. This would also be great w/ some crumbled blue cheese added, which I will try next time. Thanks for sharing. :)

Horseradish Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
Very nice! I used white balsamic vinegar and 1/2 the horseradish mustard b/c I didn't want it to be too overpowering. Also, I added a bit of honey to add a touch of sweetness. Simple and tasty! Thanks for sharing. :)

Pomegranate Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
Delicious! I have to admit, as I was making this I kept thinking that I was gonna have to add garlic, but I wanted to try this as is first, and guess what...It didn't need it! This is super flavorful and I loved the sweet/tart of the pomegranate seeds. This would look great on a Christmas appetizer buffet w/ the red and green. I will def be making this again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Onion Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
Delicious! These were soft when I first formed them, but I did that earlier in the day and put them into the fridge until I was ready to cook them, which allowed them to firm up a bit and allowed the flavors to blend. These came out, very moist and juicy with great flavor. I will def be making these again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Homemade Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
Delicious! I put all of the ingredients into the bread machine and set it to the dough cycle. When it was complete, I proceeded with the rest of the recipe. I do agree with the others that said these are a bit on the big side. I think next time I'm gonna make 10 buns, and that should be the perfect size for us. As soon as hubby took his first bite he said I should make these every time we have burgers. These have a wonderful flavor and texture...A definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)
