About this Cook
Hi Everyone! My name is Christina and I live in Pittsburgh (born and raised here) with my husband, Jim (we have been married for 11 years), my son Gabriel (he is 7), and our twin baby girls born June 22, 2011, Abby and Ally. I love cooking and sharing recipes and have a pretty extensive cookbook/recipe collection. I think my love of cooking comes from my mom and dad. We are definately a family that loves to cook (AND EAT!). I also enjoy watching hockey, LET'S GO PENS!, walking, crocheting and doing crafts. I am looking forward to meeting alot of new people here, and sharing tips and ideas.

EVERYTHING! I love trying new things and we are not a picky family, so anything goes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just cook with love and patience. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Lebanese, so we have tons of family traditions.
My cooking triumphs
When I was maybe 12 years old, I had a dinner party for some close neighbors and I made stuffed shrimp, homemade gnocchi with sauce, salad, homemade croissants and creme caramel for dessert. I was so proud of myself. When I cook and I can see the look of enjoyment on the people I am servings faces, that is a triumph all in itself.

Al's Favorite Spinach Power Salad
This was tasty! I really enjoyed the combo of flavors and textures. I wasn't sure about the dressing at first, but once combined with everything else, it was fine. I did add some sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. This was nice and I felt good eating it. I would make this again, and add some thinly sliced red onion too! Thanks for sharing. :)

Kickin' Buffalo Chicken Nachos

Swiss Cheese and Bacon Scalloped Potatoes
We all LOVED these potatoes! I used a whole 8 oz. block of Swiss cheese, grated. Also, I followed Baking Nana's advice and salt and peppered each layer of potatoes. This was serious comfort food, and something I will def be making again~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)
