Cookies....All Dressed

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
These are wonderful, Perfect blend of sweet and salty! Mine came out just a tad crispier than I like, but I stored them in a Rubbermaid container ovenight and that helped soften them.

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I have only air bake cookie pans. I decided to try & bake one pan with cooking spray & the other with parchment paper. I'm not sure if the p. paper soaks up moisture or what, but the pan made with the p. paper were absolutely PERFECT! And still chewy & wonderful. The pan sprayed with the cooking spray were pretty horrible....just gooey & not good. AND, I couldn't get the darn cookies off the pan! SO anyway, that may help you. As for taste, WOW! Amazing flavor. I followed the recipe exactly, except used mini chocolate chips.

Pepper Jelly Appetizer

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
This is fantastic! And, it could not get any easier. We actually found our hot pepper jelly at a little coffee shop we like. I'm sure most gourmet grocery stores carry it. Super easy and an absolute hit!

Stuffed Sole with Imitation Crab

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
Substituted Tilapia for Sole. Tasted great! Only thing was I couldn't roll up the tilapia, so I kind of just topped it with the crab mixture. Very nice & relatively healthy recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
I am a huge fan of this recipe! I have probably made it 5 times. The only thing I do add (if I have it on hand) is chopped carrots or corn. Love that the calories are low in this one too. SO tasty!

Really good. And easy! I followed the directions exactly and it turned out wonderful. The red wine vinegar gives it a nice tangyness.

Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
I am giving it 3 stars because, although they tasted great, they were flat. Also, whatever you do, do NOT use a chocolate kiss that has a center to it (ie - caramel or mint). You'll have a huge gooey mess on your hands.

Apple Caramel Cheesecakes Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Really nice & rich! Definitely use Granny Smith apples, as they are so nice and tart. I only made one change and that was adding an 1/8 cup brown sugar to the cream cheese mix. For me, it just seemed like it needed a tad more sweetness & that did the trick.

Turkey a la King

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I used my Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. I took the advice of others and did not use heavy cream, but 2% milk instead. Also, in the place of actual flour I used Wondra. For more flavor, I added garlic powder. Pepperidge Farm sells puff pastry shells which were amazing with this. Thanks for a nice recipe

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
These are the easiest!! And so good. As other reviewers said, watch your chocolates once they are in the oven. Depending which you use, the melting times vary greatly. As far as where to find the pretzel rings, I had a heck of a time! I lucked out after a stop at my local Aldi's, whose brand "Clancy's" has rings :)

BBQ Pie

This is excellent! I only used 1 can of beans. I also used sweet Italian sausages instead of ground beef. I was thinking it might be too weird, but it turned out fantastic! Definitely easy and filling!
