Upside Down Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I will NEVER make a turkey the "correct" way again. The breast turned out super juicy and very yummy. I have found a new way of roasting. I rubbed some butter and garlic salt under the breast skin. (i didnt add the water to the pan and it was fine). I roasted it cover for the whole time. And then let it cook covered for about 40 min before carving.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
The only regret i have is not trying this sooner!!! I absi=olutely loved this recipe and will make it over and over and over. I baked the tortillas and served it with a combo of 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 salsa. Top 5 off AR i've tried.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Followed the recipe to a T and the taste of the cream cheese awas over powering. I would try this again but use yogurt instead. I thought this was going to a thin sauce but instead came out thick.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I wont try this again. I followed the recipe to a T and the cottege cheese didnt melt properly. I thought the taste was good but the texture was not something I cared for at all. A bit grainy and the cottege cheese curds were odd.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I'm a huge cranberry sauce fan and this is excellent. I used half orange juice and half water (since my orange juice came straight from an orange). Used 1/2 white sugar and half brown. I didnt read the directions and dumped everyhing in the pot and started to cook it. I let it cook about 30 so i could thicken and all the cranberries could pop.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Great dip. Goes over extremely well with everyone! Tastes just like wings. I used the small bottle of Frank's and that was enough. Don't use the canned chicked, either do crockpot, pan fried or boiled.

Kitty Litter Cake

Fantastic and creative idea. I used crushed peanut butter cookies on the top to give it a darker look. Thanks!

Tequila Lime Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Not something I would make again. The dressing has too much vinegar and the taste is overpowering.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Good cake and very easy to make. I poured half of the milk mixture on the cake (poked LOTS of holes with a fork) and then waited for it to soak in. Then I poured the rest of it on the cake.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. The cooking method for this is great. I had a 6lb roaster and it took a little over 5 hours to cook. (20 of that time was at 350 because i was making brownies at the same time and thats the temp they required). I didnt have time to marinate but it still came out great. I stuffed the cavity with a mixture of onion, mushrooms, and a schallot. Used a roasting pan with a rack.

Twice Baked Potatoes II

These are great. I added a little more than 1/3 cup sour cream because the mixture was dry. I also added some seasoned salt and chives. Topped with additional cheese on top.

Shrimpcargot

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Let me start off by saying I HATE shrimp. This was my first time cooking them and the recipe turned out good. I even ate some of this....and liked it. Next time i'm gonna dice up the shrimp before stuffing the shrooms (since its the texture of shrimp im not a fan of). Also, as suggested by the sumitter, I sauteed the mushrooms in the butter/garlic sauce for about 10 min.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is absolutely amazing. I added everything except the marjoram (because I didnt have it). I doubled the recipe for once of the Jay's Signature Crust pizzas from here and instead of letting it sit. i let the sauce simmer for about 15min. This is sweeter than your typical pizza sauce.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Great recipe. I dont have a KA so i did this by hand and followed the recipe. I started with about 2.5 cups of flour in the mixing bowl and then kneaded in the rest. I kneaded it for about 5 min before letting it raise. Will definately make again.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
GREAT reviews from co-workers. I took this to a bbq at work. It was all gone! I followed the ingredients to a T. I brushed my graham crackers with milk to make them moist. I also nuked the frosting for about 40sec to make it easy to spread. This is wayyyy too easy to make for how good it tastes. One coworker from another office said i need to bring this next time im up there! THANKS FOR SHARING. Super quick, cheap and easy! will def make again. (i would have taken a pic but it was all gone)
