Delicious Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Very good. I marinated overnight. Family thought it was a bit too sweet. Perhaps I marinated too long. I will try it again, but will tweak the ingredients to be more to our liking. Thank you for the great recipe!

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This was EXCELLENT! I didn't have the dried soup mix on hand so I improvised by adding garlic salt and onion powder to the flour until I had a good flavor. I am sure that if I use the dried soup mix, it will be equally great since we love that flavor. So easy to do also! THANK YOU!

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
This was fabulous! I baked exactly 8 minutes and promptly moved to a cooling rack. Very tender inside with a crisp outer crust. I only got 41, rather than 48, so next time I will make the balls slightly smaller. I did make it a point to roll over and over in the cinnamon sugar coating, to the point of it seemingly penetrating the cookie. This made a generous coating which was perfect! Thank you for the recipe.

Spooky Witches Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
These were fun and easy to make. If you follow the instructions with making the knuckles and pressing in the fingertips, they can look very real like. Also, do not make them too fat or they look less real. Not only were these perfect looking, but they tasted yummy too.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
This turned out wonderful and was the favorite dessert! Next time I will definitely follow others advice on putting the meringue on immediately. I will also try the milk to see if I like it even more. I will definitely make this again and again!

Movie Star Popcorn

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
Excellent! I'd never thought home made popcorn could taste so wonderful and far better than microwave types. I've used vegetable oil since this is what I've had on hand, but I'll have to try it with the peanut oil sometime.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

At 41 years old, this is the first pork chop recipe I've ever made that I absolutely loved!!! Besides one well known restaurant, this is the first time I really enjoyed this cut of meat. Excellent recipe.

Excellent flavor and easy to whip up. I won't bother to find another recipe for Tilapia. Followed recipe exactly.

Hamburger Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
Excellent recipe. Hubby raves about it. He asked for a small microwave to plug into his generator to heat this dish while on hunting trips! Only change I made: season the hamburger with garlic salt or if I forget, sprinkle it on top before serving.

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

Excellent. I did like the ingredient amounts and flavor. Next time I will make sure to sear the outside for a nicer appearance and added flavor. Great served with fresh lemon wedges!

French Toast Stars

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Best french toast I've ever had. I completely skip the star cutting part and just leave the shape of the Texas Toast alone. Don't make the mistake of using half and half instead of heavy cream, it just doesn't turn out as good. It freezes well too and then toasts up nice. Thanks for this recipe.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Great chili overall. Doubled all spices except chili and cayenne. Doubled pinto beans and added a can of black, as there weren't enough beans in the chili for us. Added two tbsp. of brown sugar also and a few drops of hot sauce. Husband and kids really liked it well, just asked me to reduce the "tomatoey" taste a bit next time. Perfect base to use and build on for your family's tastes.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
Awesome recipe. I have nearly tripled the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture though. I simply put about half in the middle and the remaining half on top. It always seems to turn out better also if I increase the bananas by about 50% (about 3 medium bananas or so). I also bake for 38 minutes only so that it isn't dry. Thanks for the great recipe! "Grandma's" I am told, has now been replaced!

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

This is the best flavor I have ever tasted on pumpkin seeds. This is the recipe I'll keep. I did have to make some minus the Worcestershire sauce because my 8 year old thought they were too spicy.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
Excellent recipe. This is my husband's favorite cookie. This is better than the name brand oatmeal recipe. I ended up with about 3 1/2 dozen cookies and had added a cup of chocolate chips. I also only cooked for 9 minutes since we like them to stay soft after a day or two. This will definitely be the recipe I stop at for good!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
This is the BEST pot roast! This has become my husband's absolute favorite meal. I don't change anything with the recipe other than searing the meat in a pan with olive oil on all sides first. Depending on the schedule, I will cook on high and then low to have it ready when I need it. BIG TIME KEEPER!
