I'm a graphic artist working for a dotcom in Seattle, WA. I once earned a living as a cook working in restaurants and also cooking for workers in canneries and logging camps in Alaska. I started out as a banquet cook at Horatios (now defunct) in Seattle. At this point in my life, I'm looking for anything that's quick and easy, but still appetizing. My Mom is a great cook and I've brought a few of her dishes into my repetoire at home. One favorite dish at the holidays was always "zesty carrots" made with horseradish. Anytime I cooked for 350 people without a hitch was a triumph. My biggest tragedy was on my 21st birthday when I made the mistake of having my first legal drink before starting my shift as a banquet cook. When it was time to serve dinner, I went to the oven to take the potatoes out and immediately felt the absense of heat radiating from it. I had forgotten to turn it on.
