Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This was pretty well received. I thought it was a little dry, but I may have left it in the oven just a tad long. Nothing that popping it in the microwave for a couple seconds didn't fix, I loved it with the chocolate chips slightly melted. I did love the nutmeg flavor and thought it went nicely with the chocolate.

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This was delicious! The cake part was moist and we loved the layer of fresh strawberries. I thought the topping went perfectly, although I forgot to add the pecans to it.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I was looking for a recipe to use up some bananas and came across this one. I figured it looked easy enough and boy was that right! And, not only easy but incredibly tasty! The bars turned out very moist. I made my own cream cheese frosting to top them with and also sprinkled some chopped walnuts on top. These are definitely winners!

Teriyaki Potatoes

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
I thought these were decent and definitely easy to make by using the microwave. But, I thought they lacked a little in flavor. I used soy sauce and I think next time I may double all of the seasonings and see if that makes a difference.

Twinkie® Tiramisu

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Tiramisu is my all time favorite dessert and when I saw this recipe I got all excited! It's a great, easy recipe that definitely taste like the real deal. Loved the filling and you couldn't tell that you had used twinkies. One thing I may do differently next time is decrease the coffee liqueur a little bit, the alcohol bite was just a little much for me. Thanks WW!!

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
These had good flavor, but I thought the texture was a bit off. It was almost too soft and I prefer a firmer burger. I did use ground turkey instead of hamburger.

Microwave Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Nice and easy way to prepare corn on the cob. I had 6 ears of corn and it took about 10 minutes all together for all 6 to cook.

Cowboy Cookies III

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
Outstanding! Loved these cookies. Only change I made was to add a cup of cinnamon chips in addition to the chocolate chips. The cinnamon & chocolate were awesome together! They turned out slightly crispy around the edges but nice and chewy in the center. Yum!!

Zippy Beef Bake

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
A quick & easy meal! Used a full pound of ground beef. I left out the mushrooms, don't really care for them. I added an extra 1/4 cup of sour cream since I had more beef in the mixture and I also upped the cheese. Was very tasty and makes great leftovers!

Cornbread Salad

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Yum! This was great! I doubled the spices in the cornbread mixture and thought that was perfect. And, instead of cooking some bacon, I used a package of already cooked bacon bits to save me some time. The only other thing I did differently was use a red pepper instead of a green one. Very colorful! And, definitely a different type of side dish to take to a BBQ. I had many people raving and asking for the recipe!!

Snow Grapes

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Fabulous! Made these for a BBQ and everyone gobbled them up! I replaced the white sugar with splenda, and completely forgot about adding the vanilla. It was good without and I imagine it's great with. I whipped the cream cheese, sour cream and splenda together till it was very creamy & smooth, then added the grapes. I also used red grapes instead of green because I couldn't find any green ones. Can't wait to make this one again!

Kielbasa and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
Definitely let this cook for the full 20 minutes after adding the kielbasa and spices. I was in a hurry to eat and the flavors didn't have much of a chance to blend. It was definitely good, a little spicy. It was awesome the next day after everything had a chance to sit and the flavors came together. I had started this in a deep skillet, but found it hard to stir. So, I transfered it to a dutch oven type pan, much easier to manage. Thanks for a great, easy recipe!

Fabulous Zucchini Grinders

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
Yum! These were fabulous! I sauteed some garlic and onions with the zucchini. And, instead of wrapping the sandwich to bake it, I assembled and then placed it under the broiler on low for a couple of minutes to toast the bread & melt the cheese. Definitely a keeper! Thanks!

Mini Southwestern Corn Pup Muffins with Fiesta Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
These were fun and very tasty! Loved the kick of the spices in the corn muffin. I did cut the hot dogs into smaller chunks and put a couple of pieces into each muffin. The dipping sauce went perfectly. Thanks Athena!

Breakfast Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
Wow...I'm so glad I discovered these little gems! Loved the idea of incorporating the banana and peanut butter in the middles. They tasted great and were fun to make. The corn muffin part was moist and had a nice texture. My hubby is going to love these and will be very easy for him to grab a couple as he runs out the door in the morning for work. Thanks!

Herbed Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
What a great way to jazz up regular corn! I had a bag of frozen corn that already had the butter added to it. I popped that in the microwave and then add the seasonings to it. So good and easy!

I thought this was ok. I didn't particularly like the dijon mustard in it, as I found it a little overpowering.

Dallas-Style Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
This is a pretty good sloppy joe recipe. I didn't find it overly sweet, but more on the tangy side. I left out the red pepper. And, had no problem with it being too runny or not thicking up. Thanks!

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
Very good and easy dinner! I used sweet Italian sausge because that's all I had. But, next time i'll definitely use the spicy, we like the zip it gives a dish. I forgot about adding the broccoli to the pasta to cook so I just cooked it in the microwave and mixed everything together.
