Lawn Mower Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
Yum! Made this for supper last night and it was really good. I liked the sweetness of the dressing with the saltyness of the nuts plus the extra crunch they added was a great touch. Will definitely be making this again! Thanks!

Awesome Broccoli-Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
We loved this! Only change I made was to use 2 - 12 oz packages of broccoli. Baked for exactly an hour. I found that this also make a great baked potato topper as well. Next time I may try putting some crushed ritz crackers on top for a little crunch.

Speedy Bagel Tuna Melt

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
These are great for fast meals. Not a lot of ingredients and super easy to throw together. I used the bagel thins instead of a full size bagel and it was perfect.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
This is a super good soup! Very filling and I found the spices spot on. This also had a great consistency, not too thin or too thick. The only thing different that I noticed for me was the cook time, it only took about 8 hours in my crockpot. Although, that's probably has to do with mine being a newer model. Will definitely make this again!

Asiago Toasted Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
I thought these were fabulous! I had made the cheese mixture up ahead of time and then didn't get to use it till the next day. I think the day of sitting in the fridge really let all the flavors come together. Three minutes under the broiler is definitely all the time that it takes to get these nice and toasty.

Snow Peas Oriental

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
An alright recipe, but I don't think it had much flavor. I definitely added some extra soy sauce.

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
I thought this turned out very moist and tasted great. I did have to bake mine for about an additional 15-20 minutes to get it fully done in the middle. I think the chocolate added a good sweetness to it without it being overly sweet.

Strawberries and Cream Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
This had great flavor! I used half of a loaf of leftover french bread. I also had to bake it for an additional 15-20 minute and it was still a little mushy. But, overall we really liked it, especially served with vanilla ice cream!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I loved this concept and will probably use this method from now one to cook my meatloaf! It turned out very moist, but not to the point of falling completely apart. I didn't care for the addition of sage and that would probably be the only thing i'd change in the future.

Stuffed Pepper Soup IV

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Hearty and comforting! My only change was to add some fresh minced garlic when adding the peppers and onion. After adding the rice and letting it sit for awhile the rice does absorb quite a bit of the liquid making it thicker...more stew like. But, that's how we like it. If you want it more soupy, I'd definitely add an additional can of broth. Sprinkled a little cheese on top and this was perfect!

Pumpkin Walnut Cake

Yum! Outstanding dessert and I loved the use of the walnuts. I wouldn't changed anything about this dessert at all. The baking time was right on for me.

Turkey BBQ Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I was looking for a great recipe to use up a ton of turkey legs we had in the freezer and I'm so glad I found this one! So easy to make and we loved this sauce. It's definitely got a bit of tang to it, but I wouldn't change a thing. Really great served with a side of coleslaw.

Caramel Butter Pecan Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Wow...these are super good! And, they couldn't be easier! I was a little worried because my caramel was really runny after baking, topping with the chocolate chips and letting them set for a few hours. But, I let them set over night and they turned out perfect. They were still gooey, but I was able to cut them into squares and they stayed intact. Will definitely make these again!

So good and easy to make! I also made these in a 9x13 pan and increased the chocolate chips & coconut a little bit. So gooey and rich!

Parmesan Walnut Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Yum! This bread was super good! I loved the slight sweetness of the bread mixed with the cheese & nuts. This was really quick to mix together and baked up beautifully. I did have to increase the baking time to about 1 hour & 15 minutes for the middle to get fully done. So good warm with some butter spread on it!

Hearty Hamburger Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Very good and comforting! I only used 1 pound of hamburger and sauteed the onion and garlic while it cooked. We prefer a chunkier soup so I cut the carrots & celery into bigger pieces instead of mincing them. I also bumped the barely up to 1 full cup. Definitely let the soup simmer for the full amount of time. The flavors really come together then. It does make a thicker soup, but we actually liked it better that way. This is great for cold winter nights!

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
These were a big hit at Thanksgiving. Everyone preferred these over a traditional pecan pie. I used all butter. The only thing is that these definitely took longer than 25 minutes for them to set with my oven.

Great, traditional pumpkin pie! Only change was to replace the sugar with Splenda. I had to bake this one a little longer than time recommended.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

What's not to love about these potatoes? They're rich, creamy, flavorful and just darn delicious! I made 4 batches of these for Thanksgiving and only came home with a small bowl of leftovers. Everyone loved them!
