Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
omg sooo good. I left out the butter to make it healthier and never missed it, just used a little pam in the pan. I also used chive cream cheese cause that's what I had on hand, next time I might use reduced fat cream cheese and see how that goes.

Ham and Swiss Braid

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I loved this recipe and so did my family. I cut this recipe in half and it fed 4 people with soup. I only had dry active yeast instead of quick yeast so first I proofed the yeast then after kneading I let it rise in a greased bowl for about 30 minutes until doubled. Then I rolled it out. I also didn't need much of the remaining flour added in, Maybe because the change in yeast? Idk. But it came out great. I also used what cheese I had on hand so it was half cheddar and half mozzarella. I will be using this dough recipe for a variety of fillings!!!

Sour Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
This is a good base recipe, but I made a few changes based on other reviews. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar, and added 1/4 teaspoon both cinnamon and nutmeg as well as 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. The only problem I had was they stuck to the paper liners and I think I used too many blueberries(1 1/3 cups because thats what I had there was more blueberry then muffin)

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
I think this is a great base recipe but I followed the sugguestions of other reviewers and it came out good. I did take it out at 50 minutes because my toothpick came out clean but the bottom third was not done enough, next time i'll be more careful.

Fruited Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
I used low fat condensed milk; and 1/2 half and half, and 1/2 fat free half and half in place of the milk and cream and it came out great. I also used snickers bars instead of the fruit, (so much for a healthier version) I halved the recipe and it was still too much for my 1 1/2 qt mixer so I used half and saved the rest for tomorrow. I loved it but my FH said a little too sweet and too much vanilla, but again I loved it.

Old-Fashioned Roasted Pecans

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
I also used vanilla instead of water, and 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar. I did use half walnuts and half pecans, because that's what I had on hand. Next time I will try almonds. The whole batch was gone in an hour, my future husband ate so many he had a stomach ache but they were so good he couldn't stop.lol

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I did use the 99 cent key lime juice in the plastic container. I used the whole thing and it was so good. I live in florida and the key limes were too expensive and I would have needed so many key limes.I might add a drop of green food coloring next time and I used a shortbread ready made crust. It was great!!!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
This was so good. I did like other reviewers did and used 8 red potatoes, the small to medium size. It was the perfect amount. I also didn't have any celery seed so I didn't use that . I will be making this dish on a regular basis!

A Number One Egg Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
This bread came out so good. I cut the recipe in half and came out with a huge loaf. I don't know what I would have done if i made the whole thing. (baked in 2 batches?) I did let it rise an extra time, but it was soooooo good. I will defenitly make again. I used this bread in the baked french toast recipe and it's in the oven now yum!
