Hi! My name is Carrie and I have been cooking for a little over 12 years.
The first 2 years was trial and error well, mostly error. LOL I made A LOT of mistakes and I learned from them and moved on.
I have always loved cooking, the clean up is another story, I seem to always make such a mess in the kitchen. But, when I cook for my family and they enjoy it, it brings JOY to my heart.
I have 2 boys, 12 and 6 and a wonderful husband. We live in Ontario, Canada. We decided that I would be a stay at home mom a little over 7 years ago now. After a year, I decided that I needed to start my own business so, I that is what I did. Now that my children are both in school during the day, I am a full time work from home mom.
I run my own business as a free lance designer for traditional paper scrapbooking companies as well as selling digital scrapbooking supplies at my websites - www.FishScraps.com and www.FishScraps.Etsy.com
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE baking. I really enjoy making bread. It feels like an accomplishment every time. I seem to have way more failures than successes with bread making so, I am trying to learn more. Eventually I hope to stop feeding my kids that nasty bread from the grocery store that has a funny, fermented smell.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to make muffins, quick breads and other snacks for my kids. They always appreciate it.
My ultimate goal is to have dinner on the table every day instead of scrambling around at the last minute and to cook more healthy, yummy food that my kids will love.
My cooking triumphs
Bread :) I never thought I could do it myself.
My cooking tragedies
I would have to say the worst was cabbage rolls. When the cabbage was unrolled, the meat inside was just a hard lump. I love my husband because he ate them and told me he liked them anyway but, they really were awful. I have made them 2x since and still have not gotten it right.
