Country Sunday Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This was very easy to put together. I did omit the onion only because my kids refuse to eat it. The country gravy packet really added flavor to it. My packet was about half the size it called for, it may have been a little overpowering if I had added another one. This was a great recipe, one I will make again! Thank you for a great breakfast!

Easy Brownie Mix Cookies

Made these as the recipe stated. They came out very moist. They were very easy to throw together. I actually prefer these to the regular boxed brownie! Will be making again!

Grandma's Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
These noodles are the best in homemade chicken noodle soup. They are very easy to make. I don't let them dry. I just make them up and throw them in. Great noodles!

Pumpkin Chip Drops

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2011
Made these for the Recipe Group...Just took these out of the oven...They are very good! I added a 1/4 cup more of flour after reading the reviews about how they flattened out and seeing how wet the dough still was. Mine did not fall and the color is a nice golden color. They are soft on the inside with a little crispness to the outside. This is a great recipe!

Easy Authentic Mexican Rice

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
I made this for Cinco De Mayo. I was a little uncertain with the potato in it but it came out well. I made this in my new rice cooker...so easy! I would suggest adding some spice to it as it was a little bland. With some doctoring this could be my new Mexican Rice recipe. I am going to try substituting salsa for the tomato sauce next time and see if that helps.

Easy Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
This was just ok for me. The bacon never crisped up in the first hour and a half. I ended up removing the foil and broiling it for about 5 minutes. I did add an extra half cup of tomato sauce and water to the casserole otherwise this would have been very dry. The bacon was an interesting addition to this casserole. It was not an overpowering flavor but the whole dish was kind of bland. It could use additional seasoning.

Slow Cooker Oats

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
This was very easy to throw together. I followed the recipe exactly cooking for 8 hrs. I did not like the raisins in this. They may have been good if they were added at the end. I was a little concerned at the amount of cinnamon but surprisingly it was not overpowering. It did come out very thick but I always add a touch of milk to my oatmeal anyways. I did not think it was very sweet so I did add a little sugar to it. Very good overall recipe. I would make this again.

Fatty Natty's Peanut Butter Fudge Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
These are so good! I love that the chocolate is in the peanut butter balls. This is so much easier than dipping your balls in chocolate! Just like a buckeye without the extra work! Love it!

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
This came out very good. The taste was great. I was a little disappointed in the topping. I would have liked it to be crispier. My kids enjoyed it and said it tasted like an apple pie without the crust. I will try this again but in the oven next time. I used paula red apples and they cooked down quite a bit. I think depending on the type of apples you use, you should adjust your cooking time.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

This cookie is delicious with or without the peanut butter chips. I used margarine instead of butter and they came out perfect. I will definitely make these again.

Korean Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This came out great! A bit on the salty side(I love salt) but I didn't have any low sodium soy sauce. My family enjoyed it. I will definitely use this marinade again with a less costly piece of meat as I have 13 people in my home and flank steak can be pretty pricey. Thanks for a great recipe!

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I love these biscuits. They come out nice and fluffly. If you like butter flavored biscuits you will really like these. Very easy to make. I always double the recipe and I drop them by tablespoons onto a baking sheet for the traditional round biscuit.

Peanut Butter and Oat Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
Don't try these without a glass of milk nearby! They were very rich! If you love peanut butter you will love these! I used salted butter so I cut the salt down to a teaspoon, I also added about 5 minutes to the cook time. Very easy to throw together. I will make these again but instead of frosting with peanut butter I may try chocolate just to break up the taste a little! Thank you for a great recipe!

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

I made this tonight for dinner. My family loved it. Not being a huge pickle fan I was a little concerned over the choice of toppings. But it was delicious as is. My kids couldn't say YUMMY enough. Very easy recipe I will make over and over again.

Cola Easter Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
I made my ham this way for Easter. It came out good but nothing spectacular. It just tasted like ham once you got down into it. I baked this in my electric roaster. I normally cook my ham in a convection oven, it always comes out just as moist in there as it did with this recipe. This ham works great if you don't have the convection oven and are just baking it in the regular oven!

Pumpkin Coffee Ring

I just made this. It came out very good. My icing was not as thick as it should have been or I was too impatient to wait to icing it and try a piece. Very good recipe!

I used this the other night. It did have a bit of a kick. It was very good. I used about 1 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1 1/2 cups water. Delicious! I will use this again.

Pan Pierogies

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
This was a great recipe I found while trying to find a meat free meal for Lent. I did make some adjustments. I used real mashed potatoes and didn't mix my onions into them(the kids would have had a fit). The onions I sauteed with garlic cloves in a TBS. margarine and a 1/4 c. vegetable oil. These were absolutely fantastic served on top. What a great meal!
