Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I have tried lots of different pancake recipes. These are by far the best. So nice and fluffy. I will not try another one! Thank you for a great recipe.

Peppermint Drops

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I made these last night. They came out great! I did substitute margarine for the butter only because I had none. I don't think it hurt them in the least. I did use the whole 3 c. of flour. I just mixed it all in my KitchenAid and then put into the freezer for about a half hour. I rolled in colored sugar and used chocolate kisses because I have been unable to locate the candy cane kisses. I will keep searching for them. This was a very good easy cookie recipe! Thanks for sharing! I will definitely make these again! Probably for my Cookie Exchange in a couple of days!

Corn Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
This was a very good dish. I have made it twice now. The first time I sprinkled the cheese on top. IMO it didn't really need it. The second time I stirred the cheese into the mixture. Ipreferred this way best if you are going to use the cheese. My DH really enjoyed this. It will definitely find a place on my table frequently.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
This was a great bread. I took it to my sons first grade Thanksgiving feast and all the kids that tried it went back for seconds. I did leave the cloves out as I don't really care for them. This recipe turned out three nice sized loaves. I will be making again!

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I made these for Thanksgiving Dinner. They came out good. It was a nice presentation. I will probably use fresh beans (blanched) next time as the canned ones were just not real flavorful. My hubby actually preferred these cold because he could taste the beans better. I did broil uncovered for 3 minutes just to crisp up the bacon more. It was an overall great and easy recipe.

Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
I doubled this recipe. It came out ok. I forgot to add the cheese. I added that when it was dished out. To me it was a little bland. I think it could have used a little more spice to it possibly a little more sauce. My hubby enjoyed this alot. Pretty quick and easy though.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was very good. I did not have garlic cloves so I substituted garlic powder for them. This did have a bite to it. It was very tender. I shredded this and served on Kaiser rolls with some sauteed onions and provolone cheese. I will be making this again.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
This was very good! However after baking I had lot of liquid in my pan. It may be from the type of apples I used(Cortland). I drained a good bit of it out of the pan, thickened it with cornstarch and poured over the top of the crisp. This was an overall great recipe. Next time I will try different apples or omit the water all together.

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
This came out very good. The taste was great. I was a little disappointed in the topping. I would have liked it to be crispier. My kids enjoyed it and said it tasted like an apple pie without the crust. I will try this again but in the oven next time. I used paula red apples and they cooked down quite a bit. I think depending on the type of apples you use, you should adjust your cooking time.

Daddy's Whisker Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I really enjoyed this soup. The dill flavor kind of creeps up on you, not overwhelming in the least. I did double this recipe as I am feeding a dozen people every night. This soup did not thicken up for me though. Not sure why. I thought about attempting to thicken it in a variety of ways (ie: Potato flakes, flour, cornstarch) not sure how it would have affected the taste though. So I opted to keep this recipe as it was this time. Next time I will try on of the thickening agents and see how that comes out. Very delicious soup!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I made these yesterday morning. They were extremely easy to put together. I also put mine in the fridge to set up. No problems with the two layers sticking together. The taste is very good. My only issue with these was the texture of the bottom layer. I was thinking it would be smooth and melt in your mouth. Very good overall! Will make again.

Pumpkin Coffee Ring

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I just made this. It came out very good. My icing was not as thick as it should have been or I was too impatient to wait to icing it and try a piece. Very good recipe!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Good easy recipe! I followed other reviewers advice about adding the Chicken broth- only had bouillion tho- I was worried the breasts would burn if not. I think that added too much salt to the dish. I enjoyed it salt and all! Next time I will just cook as written. I think they will come out much better that way!

Korean Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This came out great! A bit on the salty side(I love salt) but I didn't have any low sodium soy sauce. My family enjoyed it. I will definitely use this marinade again with a less costly piece of meat as I have 13 people in my home and flank steak can be pretty pricey. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I substitute the cole slaw mix in the stores for the carrots. I am not a big carrot fan and think they would be a bit much. I also cook my vegetables longer. I like them to be soft not crunchy. My family absolutely loves these better than any restaurant. Will definitely continue to be on my dinner menu on Chinese evenings.

Grandma's Butter Noodles

These noodles are the best in homemade chicken noodle soup. They are very easy to make. I don't let them dry. I just make them up and throw them in. Great noodles!

Sweet Potato Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
These were not good for me. I'm not sure if it was the crunch of the corn flakes or what. My brother really liked them. In fact he gobbled up almost the whole pan.
