Baked Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
My family loves these! They are compact and perfectly baked to "round" perfection. This versatile way of cooking many eggs at once can be topped with anything you like and each one can be prepared to order.

Wedding Gift Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2014
This is the best Spaghetti Sauce I've ever had or ever made! I put ALL the spices in my Magic Bullet to completely blend and pulverize, then added them as per the directions. Other than that I made exactly as written. It has the texture and flavor of an "HOURS" cooked sauce. I do believe the trick to this recipe is the minimum of 2 hours simmering with the lid OFF! It came out perfect. I fed 4 Granddaughters, my youngest son and husband & myself. There wasn't one drop left. I will be making this again and will make for gifts and canning too. Really the very best Spaghetti Sauce ever!!! If I could, I would give this 10 STARS!!!

Herb & Garlic Encrusted Rack of Pork

Reviewed: May 7, 2015
I have made this recipe now probably 6 or 7 times. It is fantastic! So easy to prepare and if you follow the directions, use a thermometer and let rest after removing from the oven, you'll have a moist and company worthy main dish that will make you look like a Rock Star Chef! I cannot thank you enough Marianne for posting this awesome Pork recipe.

Chicken Zoodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2015
This soup is de-lish-shush! I mean it's really good! Easy to make chicken soup adding zoodled zucchini is a healthy way to get your veggies and like them too. I would not hesitate using this recipe to make Chicken Noodle Soup or Chicken Rice Soup or Chicken & Dumplings either. The taste is just down right comfort food. We loved it and I've made 3 batches already. Winner, winner...chicken dinner Brian. Thanks for a wonderful chicken soup recipe where we can eliminate the carbs and gluten and still have a fabulous and flavorful dish. Thank you Brian for a great (and I mean great) Chicken Zoodle Soup recipe!

I made this recipe exactly as is. It is "OMG" good. So, so, so good. This will now be the sweet potatoe dish I will make for my family from now on. BTW, they were scarfed down the first pass around the Thanksgiving table. There were no seconds. Yeah, THAT good!

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
We LOVE orange flavored anything. I've had this recipe in my RB for some time and when I decided to make Real Strawberry Frosting using oranges in place of strawberries, I knew this would be the recipe. It's really good, in fact, it's very good! The orange flavor comes through and it's still light and cake-like. I half anticipated it would be a little bit heavier than it was. Most difinately a keeper, I'll be making this one again.

Jersey Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This is excellent tomato soup. I saved this recipe this past summer while we were putting up our very large supply of tomatoes from our garden. I couldn't wait to make it. Well, tonight was the night. The only change I made was to use Lactose Free Whole Milk. Best creamy tomato soup ever! Thanks Shorecook! BTW, I love that there's carrot in it.

Creamy Banana Soft Serve

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
This is perfect! I used Dutch Cocoa Powder gifted to me by Marianne. I also added in the Peanut Butter. Then scooped into a freezer container for 1 hour so it would roll nicely into an ice cream scoop. Placed in a Sunday dish and topped with chopped Almonds. I have 3 words for this recipe: Dee-lish-us!!! Just perfect for dessert or snack. A very rich and satisfying recipe using NO dairy what-so-ever. You'd never know, it's that creamy.

Popa's Pickled Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
Popa's Pickled Eggs are delicious! Making them into Deviled Eggs is just this side of Ingenious. No, I didn't think of it. But, I sure thought it was worth trying to develop a recipe. Wowzer! You don't need to do anything except add a little mayo and pickled egg juice. These are addicting! Good call PNW Round Up Peeps! Really good call!

Braised Corned Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2015
I purchased at 4.65lb Brisket...that's the biggest one I could find. I thought it would plenty for just the two of us! WRONG! As Bdweld said, "buy two, because the first one will go fast." He was right. We ate it all, but about 1/8 of lb. No sammies for us tomorrow. This recipe for Corned Beef is the best we ever had. It was easy peasy too. I put it in the oven at 9:15am and took it out at 3:15pm. I didn't peek once, although it was really hard not to. It came out moist and falling apart tender. We didn't even make a sauce out of the pan drippings. I used it for my skillet fried cabbage. Now I need to go back to Safeway tomorrow and buy another one or two so we can have Corned Beef Sandwiches. Thank you Julie for a great AND easy recipe. We will for sure be making this one again.

Yuppie Kolcannon

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Made for RECIPE GROUP. We loved this! I made exactly as written. The only thing I would do differently is use fresh garlic. I sauteed the onion, carrot and cabbage until they were almost caramalized. Then added to the smashed potatoes. Oh, and I used Lactose Free Whole Milk. YUM!!! This is good comfort food!

Warm Orange Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
Today I made an "Italian Easter Cake." The recipe calls for a light dusting of powdered sugar. I've been wanting to try Avon's "Warm Orange Sauce" and thought it would go well with this Orange flavored dump-and-mix cake. It was fantastic. These two recipes were meant for each other. It's not too sweet either. My husband and I both ate two BIG pieces and ALL the Orange Sauce. YUM!!!! Thanks Anne!

Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
These are very yummy muffins. I love the flavor of orange in just about anything. I added the pulp (chopped into ity bity bits) after juicing the orange. Just to intensify the orange flavor even more. And, I made them in muffins tins; this recipe made 24 muffins. I froze 6 and between my husband, myself and some of kids dropping by today, they are all gone. This is a keeper.

Banana Blueberry Muffins with Lavender

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
We absolutely LOVED these muffins! They have everything in them we like; Blueberries, bananas and just a hint of lavendar. And, yet they are not dense and heavy. I made them per the recipe with no changes, except my blueberries were from my freezer and I added them frozen. Also, I used a corn oil/canola oil blend. I will make again for sure! This recipe is a keeper.
