In a blog last year, I mentioned that every January/February I get the cleaning bug. Nothing’s safe. I go through closets, cupboards and files. If it’s not nailed down, it’s gone. I love the feeling of a clean, fresh start. What I didn’t mention is that I also go through the pantry and our… MORE

This past week, I went shopping for a few Thanksgiving items for my newly transformed Dining Room. My first stop was Walgreens. I found remnants of Halloween decorations, candy, and costumes, but no Thanksgiving items. I found a store clerk and asked for directions to the Thanksgiving isle.… MORE

On a crisp and cold, but sunny morning in early January 2008, the pretty young 38 year old wife and mother of 3 called out, "Hey Mama, come in here." There at the foot of the snow laden Rocky Mountains in New Mexico 12 miles from anything what-so-ever was the 5 acre paradise this young women,… MORE

Every birth is a miracle! When babies are born full term, all fingers & toes accounted for; breathing & suckling and able to go home with loving parents, we rarely think how different it could have been. For some couples, the child they waited for, thought would be healty and active is… MORE

The Holidays are behind us and the New Year is upon us. For me, January has always been the month I clean, sort, organize and plan. I clean out drawers, closets and cupboards. I sort papers needed for taxes and organize my office. We’ve got plans in place for a few short trips and our main… MORE

About Me
I am a wife and mother of 5 grown children. Being semi-retired has allowed me time to do things I've put off doing; like really learning to cook and bake. I also love to garden, read, scrapbook and just recently I've gotten into geneology. I am loving this phase of my life with my husband and family.
My favorite things to cook
Fresh garden vegetables and fruits. The anticipation of what my garden will produce is always a joy. I also love to bake. And, Mostly I love to bake cupcakes and sweet treats.
