About this Cook
Enthusiastic but slightly untidy mother of one rowdy kindergartner and toddler twins (boy/girl). An avid reader and unreformed chocoholic, I spend my days playing with my kids and finding new ways to avoid housework.
My favorite things to cook
I have never been one to really enjoy cooking. However, since I have switched careers and have become a SAHM, I am finding I enjoy cooking more and more. I enjoy trying new recipes, but don't have the patience for elaborate meals...Keep It Simple.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a meat and potatoes farm family. ; )
My cooking triumphs
Any recipe that turns out ok is a triumph, but even more so if my family will eat it. : D
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make soup, I didn't premix the cornstartch in water (I was in a hurry) and ended up with cornstartch tapioca in my soup. YUCK!

Roasted Loin of Pork with Pan Gravy
This was a hit with the whole family. The only modification I would make is changing the cayenne pepper to 1/4 tsp instead of 1/2. Not because it was too hot...it was just too hot for our 1 year old twins. Otherwise, this is the perfect recipe. We'll be using this often! Thanks!

Marinated Chicken Bruschetta
ok recipe. I won't be making this again, only because my husband won't eat anything with vinegar-ish taste/smell to it.

Tangy Chicken Breasts
Husband didn't like it. I thought it was ok...a little bland. My 2 year old gobbled it up. Probably won't make this again, only from the standpoint that my husband didn't like it.
