Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
This is the best! I have cooked it in a crock pot before and did not care for it. I have done it in the oven in an oven bag, in the oven without a bag, and my other favorite way was on the top of the stove simmering for several hours. This will definitely be the way I cook it from now on. I did not add the beer and I put some whole cloves in the onion. Great recipe.

Pork Chop Casserole III

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
It was good and easy to prepare. I used brown rice because we cannot have white. Also I only had 1 can of mushroom soup and 1 can of golden mushroom soup so that is what I used. I did brown the chops before putting them in the pan because they were very thick. The meat was very tender. I will probably make this again but it is not my first choice for pork chops.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
Excellent frosting. It made enough to frost an 8x8 cake. Will be using this recipe on most of my cakes from now on. 7-11-10 Made 1/2 recipe to frost 12 cupcakes today. Made 1/2 chocolate and tinted the other 1/2 purple for my granddaughter.

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
Great recipe. I used 1/2 the amount of butter called for and did not have steak seasoning so I added a little Lawry seasoning salt. No sugar is needed. Will be making my potatoes this way alot, flavorful.

Simple Carnitas

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
Excellent recipe. I ate 2! Will definitely be making this again. The only complaint other family members had was that by the time they put the salsa, cheese, and sour cream on, the meat was cold so I think the next time I will try putting the tortilla in a frying pan and add the toppings so they can warm up a little. Have leftovers so tomorrow night will add barbecue sauce and have pulled pork sandwiches. Great recipe Ken, thank you.

These were ok but I have had better whole wheat pancake recipes from here. I don't think I would make them again.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Wow, this was so good. Defrosted enough frozen boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins to equal amount called for in recipe. Squeezed the lemon juice over them and sprinkled with garlic powder, let sit for 1 hour then cut them up into bite sized pieces and cooked them in a little oil in the frying pan while making the pasta. This is so good I could eat it every day. You won't be sorry if you try it.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
I was really leary how these would taste. I even got my jar of cinnamon out to sprinkle over them if I didn't like the taste. THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!! I will be making these all the time. I did add 2 Tblsps. of sugar as suggested and also added 3 Tblsps. of flaxseed. I would give these 10 stars if I could. My 4 yr old grandson asked for a second helping.

Carne Guisada III

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
Very good. I added 2 cans of tomato sauce, 2 cups of water and baby carrots. I put frozen beef cubes in the crock pot and added all the ingredients(did not add salt) and cooked on high for 3 hrs, turned to low and cooked for 6 hours. The meat was so tender. Reminded me of beef stew.

Very easy to make. Glad I found some thing different to make for lunch. I had some green onions I needed you use so I chopped those up instead of adding the onion powder.
