My family loved this, I didn't add as much olive oil. I also added a bit of lemon juice to brighten up the flavor...

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
quicke and easy to make. This recipe is versitile. Add what spices you like I added some cilantro and garlic too. It was great. Better than store bought. But I did mix everything up in the food processor. I think next time I will mash the beans as directed. The texture was a little off because I didn't follow the original directions.

Cream of Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
I just made this for dinner tonight. I did add 2 cloves or minced garlic to my onions after Ihad sauted for a few minutes and I used my imersible blender to incorporate the ingredients before I added the half and half and then once again just for a quickie swirl. Very good and I am hoping it will freeze well. I have enough to serve my boyfriend and I for another dinner!!! Yummy.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
My Mom would make this chocolate pudding for me after I came in from ice skating! Yum. You can also use 1 square of unsweetened chocolate, use half and half and double the vanilla. I have made it this way for my kids and they agree it is very yummy.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
This is one of my favorite soups to make. I used REAL BUTTER, instead of the margarine. I also as other reviewers have stated used less Cream Cheese. I use about a little less than 8 ounces. This is a thick and hearty soup. I also added some milk to thin it a bit. My 13 yr.old daughter who said Yuck (at first) decided this was good. I didn't put any marjoram in the soup either. Update on this review Still good soup!!! BUT I was short on time so when I was at Trader Joe's they had cubed squash. Sometimes it is Butternut and sometimes it is Acorn. This is a HUGE time saver for me and the soupd comes out wonderful. I even have cut down the Cream Cheese even further. I use the Veg/Chicken stock combo and it is flavorful!!! :)

Chicken Shawarma

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
I have had Shawarma from several restaurants. Each place taste a bit different. I am sure there are better chicken shawarma recipes out there! This recipe did nothing for me. I followed the recipe exact as printed. My daughter and I both were disappointed with this recipe. I will not be making this recipe again.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
This was a chewy great tasting cookie. I did grind the cloves. There is nothing like fresh ground spices. I made this for a conference and also a for friend who like myself prefers oatmeal raisin cookies over chocolate chips cookies anyday! He really liked them too, he had to share a cookie in class with someone who smelled them. But he only gave up one! These cookies are good enough to make sure you have a small stash for yourself :)

Dad's Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
I made these cookies on Wednesday Nov. 5th, 2003. Great cookies. I had tried to write a review of this recipe, but it was too difficult trying to eat the cookies and type at the same time! I am alwyas concerned when I make Peanut Butter Cookies that it won't be Peanutty enough for me. It was wonderfully peanutty! I did add Peanut Butter Chips to the batter just to be on the safe side. I liked the additonal chips in the batter. But I am sure it would have been just fine without them too. ENJOY and make a double batch!

Schlotsky's Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2002
Our whole family loved this bread. It isn't quite Schlotsky's bread but darn close. I've made this twice. This last time I used half of what the recipe called for in wheat flour, and the rest in the regular bread flour, just trying to get my family to enjoy a bit of fiber in their diet. I think that either way it is a great way to make a sandwich.
