Homemade Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2014
Pure comfort food! Easy to make with leftover turkey. The beef stock adds a depth of flavor without calling attention to itself. The only change I made was using turkey shaped pasta in place of the rotini.

Pumpkin Spice Ring

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2014
In today's world where products are downsized and the prices are not I had to do some scratch my head math. This is what I came up with (1) 16 oz box of angel food cake mix and 7 oz BY WEIGHT pumpkin puree. For just a bit more spices I added 3/4 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice and baked in an angel food tube pan. Being that I'm not a baker - yes I can read the side of the box - and nothing turns out right this was the most moist, light and fluffy angel food cake I've ever tasted hands down. Even ones that I didn't make being that I'm not a baker. The pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice were spot on.

Crocodile Guac

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2014
Oh my, this Croc Guac is good! Can't stay out of it. I'm not sure this will serve 12, heck I can eat 6 servings myself. The Anaheim chiles are the key ingredient. Thanks for the keeper Bill.

Almond and Parsley Salsa Verde

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2014
I use the term salsa verde the way it's used around Southern California too. The perfect accompaniment served over grilled chicken. Not being a big fan of parsley this really worked. Next time I'll try cilantro.

Cilantro-Lime Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2014
I use blsl chicken breasts and marinaded them for 24 hours. The only change I made was to add sliced onions to the marinade. This is easy to make and the lime flavor comes through well.

Sayguh's Spicy Olive Oil, Tomato and Lime Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2014
I only used the juice of one lime and did not add the lime halves to the pan fearing it would over power the sauce and I was right. All that oil isn't necessary either. This is an awesome pasta sauce served over zoodles (zucchini noodles) for a healthy meal. This will go into my TNT folder.

Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2014
I grilled the chicken to add a depth of flavor to this creamy white chili. Let it simmer in your slow cooker for a meal that your family will love! I recommend using Mexican oregano. The RO*TEL diced tomatoes and green chilies are the perfect ingredient for this chili.

Johnsonville Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2014
Definitely set the sausage out for 20 to 30 mins before mixing. I grated my own cheese and used the dough hook on my KA to mix the ingredients. I used a cookie scoop for the sausage balls and placed them on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. The All Natural Hot Ground Italian Sausage puts these over the top. Make ahead and freeze for later.

PAM® Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2014
A super simple recipe using a handful of everyday ingredients. If you feel that the top crust will be a bit tricky just roll out the crescent rolls between two pieces of parchment paper to fit your baking dish. Remove one piece of parchment, place the dough on top and peel away the other piece of parchment. As a change of pace we like to drizzle caramel over the top in place of honey. If you want to impress last minute dinner guests this is it. CandelB thank you for this great recipe.

Bowl of Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2014
Really easy to make and packs a lot of flavor. Definitely will make again. This took 5 minutes in my 1000 watt microwave. Not quite the texture of an oatmeal cookie but the flavor is there.

Wonderful Fried Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
These were great. The only problem I had was with the mayo. I added a little ground chipotle to the mayo and it brought these up to 5 stars. I cut the fish to fit the tortillas I was using.

Baja Sauce for Fish or Shrimp Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
Perfect blend of flavors. The ground ancho chile pepper lends a mild heat and a sweet fruity flavor. I have also tried this with ground chipotle chile pepper for more heat and a smoky flavor. Either way this is a 5 star recipe.
